She opened her mouth, searching for some response that wouldn’t reveal too much, but she couldn’t come up with anything. “I liked the first question better.”

“Fine. Then answer it properly,” Tony said darkly.

“I couldn’t keep impo—”

“If you say the wordimposingto us one more time, I swear to God I will yank down those jeans of yours, toss you over my lap, and spank you until you can’t sit comfortably for a week,” Tony interjected, looking more than ready to follow through with that threat.

Rhys chuckled, sidling up next to her. Ever the peacemaker, he reached for her hand, drawing it up to place a soft kiss on her knuckles. “It’s okay, Jess. You can tell us the truth. Answer his question.”

“I was afraid…”

“Afraid of what?” Rhys asked gently.

God. She was afraid of so much. Where did she even begin?

“Afraid you’d ask me to stay longer, and I wouldn’t find the strength to leave. Afraid of this damn future I’ve built up in my head that won’t ever happen. Afraid that when everything we’d shared was over, you’d walk away. But most of all, I was afraid I’d break down in front of you and tell you…tell you…”

Tony stepped next to Rhys, tipping Jess’s chin up to face him. “Tell us…?”

“I love you. Both of you. So much it hurts. And I’m sorry because I know that’s not what you want, what you’re looking for, but—”

“Jesus Christ, Jess.” Tony expelled a huge breath of air, and she realized he must have been holding it the entire time. He wrapped his arms around her, embracing her tighter than she’d ever been held before. “Thank God!”

She pushed on his chest, frowning. “What?”

Rhys grasped her shoulders, pulling her against his chest as well, placing kiss after kiss on the top of her head. “We love you too. That’s what we came here to tell you. We should have said it before. Should have made sure you knew that what the three of us have…it’s a hell of a lot more than just physical.”

“You love me?” Jess wanted to believe them. God, she knew she could trust them, that neither of them would lie, yet it was still so hard to truly believe. Good things didn’t usually happen to her.

With the exception of Jasper, of course.

And them.

“Yes, goddammit,” Tony said gruffly. “We love you. Both of us. And I know it’s going to be hard for you to accept that fact, but just know we’re going to tell you fifty times a day until it finally soaks into that stubborn, gorgeous head of yours.”

“Only fifty?” she joked, her mind spinning so fast, she felt dizzy, giddy.

“A hundred and fifty,” Tony amended.

“I didn’t think you wanted a relationship.” Jess took a deep breath and forced herself to add the words she really meant to say. “Marriage and kids.”

“You’ve shown us the errors of our ways,” Tony responded, not blinking an eye at what she longed for. “We want all of that…with you.”

Rhys drew one hand down her arm, grasping her own. “Come home with us, Jess. Grab what you need for tonight and we’ll clear the rest of this stuff out of here tomorrow. Move back to the apartment, not as our roommate but asours.”

“Yours?”

Tony reached for her other hand. “We have a lot to discuss, to figure out, but we’re committed to making a life with you, and with Jasper. We’d like to be his fathers…if you’d let us.”

Jess felt the first tear slide down her face. “You want to be his dads?”

She’d never heard anything more wonderful in her life.

“We’re crazy about that boy,” Rhys said. “We’d be proud to call him our son.”

Jess didn’t bother to hold in her sob. Her happiness was too big. “He’d love that so much.”

“So you’ll come home?” Rhys asked.

She nodded, certain she’d never heard a more beautiful word in her life.

Home.
