“I’m going to turn in,” I said. I looked around the room and it suddenly dawned on me that there was no sofa. No sofa? No sofa! There was a small marble dining table for two in one corner and four cushy arms chairs set across from each other in the center of the room. But not so much as even a love seat. What kind of suite didn’t have a sofa in the living room?

“There’s no sofa,” I whispered.

Liam had grabbed a bottle of wine out of the minibar and was setting up two glasses on the dining table. “What did you say?”

I pointed to the arm chairs. Liam barely glanced at the chairs. “No sofa,” I repeated.

Liam poured the wine. “Yeah, I noticed that when we first got here.”

“You did? So, what were you planning...?”

He looked at me across the room with a not so reassuring nod. “Calm down, Silver. Before you start to lecture me or go off on me, I’d asked for a room with two beds or a sofa. They didn’t have any. In case you didn’t notice, this is not exactly a family resort. They didn’t have any rooms with a sofa and they didn’t have any roll-aways either. I’d always planned to sleep on the floor.”

“The floor?” I asked meekly, feeling like a bit of a jerk.

He walked over to me and handed me a glass of wine. “Yes, Silver. Your virginity is safe with me,” he said.

I took the glass from him with a grimace. “I think we both know, I'm not a virgin.”

He chuckled. “True. But you are certainly acting like some scared virgin bride. As much as I’d like to make slow, hot passionate love to you all night long, I’m not going to do that. Your celibacy contract is safe with me.”

My mouth was watering just thinking about slow, hot passionate lovemaking with Liam. I took a sip of the white wine to cool me off. Nope, didn’t work. I went over to the table and poured another glass.

“Better not drink too much. Remember what happened with the tequila?”

“I’d rather not. That is what got me into this situation in the first place,” I muttered. Of course, Liam was right. I was a lightweight. And who knew what I’d do if I got tipsy this time?

I put the wineglass down. “I’m going to go to bed,” I said.

“Okay.” It came out of Liam’s mouth more like a frustrated sigh.

Trust me, Liam. I could relate.
