“Boat,” Cassie answers, beaming as we follow the guy through the near-packed dining area.

Stepping outside, I get into the available boat and help her aboard. It bobs a little, but it’s secured to the deck to avoid mishaps.

The host hands us menus before walking away.

Seeming impressed, Cassie regards the tall trees, then looks up and down the river and at the other boats with diners. “This is really nice.”

“Yeah, it’s cool. Been wanting to check it out.”

She tucks a loose curl behind her ear. “You never came here on a date?”

I shake my head. “First time.” Tapering my eyes, I ask, “Is it okay to call it a date with my cousin?”

Cassie sputters a soft laugh and shrugs. “I guess. Your next girlfriend won’t feel jealous.” Oddly, I have no desire to bring another girl here aside from her.

Our waitress walks out, setting water in the cupholders at the boat’s edge before taking our orders.

Cassie and I select the fish special. Our food arrives not long after, and we enjoy it between talking and basking in the setting.

Relaxing again following another joke, we stare at each other quietly until the waitress returns to collect our plates.

“I’m so happy I’m spending the summer with you,” Cassie says, melting my heart with her sweetness.

“Me too.” I reach over to give her hand a gentle jerk on the flat wood between us. “I’m glad you came. Sorry again for acting like a jerk.”

“It’s okay. I’m already forgetting.”

Another staring contest begins, and my cock twitches as she parts her lips a tad.

Her hand trembles beneath mine suddenly, and Cassie eases it away. “Um, we should head back,” she says. “Our pilot might have another schedule after this.”

“Right. I’ll pay at the front.”

I help her to the deck and walk ahead to pay the bill. As we leave the restaurant, I hold her hand again. Cassie doesn’t seem to mind.

Returning to the strip, we find our pilot in the service office. He takes off shortly and flies over more reservations before circling and heading back.

Cassie leans her head back, seeming to dose off.

I shift closer so she rests on my shoulder, and I watch her for a moment, thinking how adorable she looks asleep. How peaceful. Uncontrollably, I lower and press a gentle kiss on her forehead.

Cassie doesn’t stir from it, and a satisfied smile remains on my face as she keeps her head on my shoulder for the journey back to the base.

She pops up when we land, and I help her out of the helicopter and shake the pilot’s hand.

“Thank you. That was excellent flying.”

“You’re welcome, and thank you. Just so you know, we have a special for couples on the weekends.”

Cassie starts to correct him. “Oh, we’re not—”

“Cousins,” I blurt at the same time.

He bounces his gaze between us. “Oh.” He snorts. “Well, thank you for using our service. Enjoy the rest of your day.”

We wave, and he walks into the office.

“Thanks for the helicopter ride,” Cassie tells me as we head to the car. “I had fun, and lunch was great too.”
