I look him in the eyes and see nothing but honesty. “Okay, but how’d you become such a sweet talker?”
He lets out a laugh. “It’s all part of the job Babygirl, now let's go get changed so we can play in the pool with our kiddos.”
I reach out and stop him. “I appreciate everything y’all have done for us, but I have to ask. When did they become our kids?”
He smiles at me. “The moment I got out of my patrol car and saw your beautiful ass, that’s when me and Silas went home and told the guys about you. That's when we decided we wanted to see how things go.” With that he walks to the little dressing room and leaves me speechless.
I never thought I’d fall in love again after everything I’ve been through, but these men are proving me wrong.
