“Yes! I’m super ready mommy! We get to make friends and play!” Arden tells me enthusiastically.

“We get to play too?” Lochlan asks happily.

“Yes baby, you’ll get to play, make new friends, and learn so much cool stuff,” I tell him.

“Yay! I’m so excited, I’ve never had friends before!” Lochlan replies.

“I know baby! Now you’re old enough to go to school, you’ll make SO many friends.” I pull into the school parking lot and see the guys already here. “Look who’s over there boys!” I say, getting closer to them.

They both start squealing and laughing.“They actually came mommy!” Arden yells, opening his door and jumping out as soon as I put the car in park. Thankfully all five of the guys walked over when I pulled up so I didn’t have to worry about him running into the busy parking lot. He throws himself at the closest guy which ends up being Silas, Lochlan following suit when I set him down, running to Bodie.

“There are our boys! Are y’all excited for your first day of school?” Odin asks them, bending down to give them both hugs.

“Yeah! I can’t wait to meet all my new friends!” Arden replies.

Silas reaches for the box Callum was holding while the rest of the guys take turns giving the boys hugs. “We grabbed you donuts for a special treat to start y’all’s first day of school!” He announces, opening the box to reveal two chocolate glazed donuts with sprinkles.

“DONUTS! Yay, we love donuts!” Lochlan tells him reaching for his. Just before he grabs it, he stops for a second and looks at the guys. “Thank you!” he says cheerfully.

Arden thanks them as well then takes his donut. The guys make small talk and ask the boys what they are excited for. I walk back to my car so I can grab the paperwork I have to turn in, when I feel someone step up behind me. I look back to see Si and Callum, both looking at me worriedly.

Silas pulls me into a hug. “How are you feeling? We tried to wake you, but you were out so we let you sleep, and then we all helped Emma get the kids settled.”

“Honestly, I’m great,” I say, giving them a big smile. “I don’t think I’ve ever been this happy before. How are y'all doing with what happened? Is that something that you’ve done before? I’m just curious if it’ll be a thing, ‘cause that was so hot.”

They both let out a breath they had apparently been holding, and Callum steps up. “We’re glad you think so, and we want to know what you think about us exploring whatever this is we started. If you aren’t comfortable with it, that’s fine. It’ll only happen when you are around. We really like you and want to see how this works out with us all seeing you, and we aren’t willing to give that up.”

I put one hand on both of their faces. “For two smart guys, y’all can be real idiots sometimes,” I chuckle, rolling my eyes at their expressions. “If y’all want to do your own thing, that’s no big deal, as long as it stays in our group. I’m fine with whatever. However, if any of you want to see other women I don’t think it’ll work out. That may be selfish of me, but after everything I went through with Corin I don’t think I could be okay with it.”

Silas looks at me with a frown. “Wildflower, you're the only woman we will ever need, okay?”

Before I can respond, my boys come running up to me, followed closely by the other guys. “Is it time mommy? Can we go to school now?”

I check my watch, noticing it’s already seven forty-nine. “Yes it is! Just let me grab y’all’s bags.” I open the back hatch of my car and before I can even lean in to get the bags of supplies or their bookbags the guys grab it all.

“I could have gotten it,” I huff.

Odin chuckles, and bumps my shoulder. “We know you could, Babygirl, but you don’t have to. Now let’s go meet our boy’s teachers. Where are we going first?”

“I wanna take my little brother to his class first, so I can see if his teacher is nice.” Arden tells us decisively, wrapping his arms around his brother’s shoulders.

Callum ruffles both the boy’s hair, grinning. “That sounds like a great idea! Let’s take Lochlan first and see what his classroom is like.”

Walking into the school, I see Chris and Nathan standing at opposite sides of the hallway pointing people in the direction for whatever classroom they are looking for. They both notice our group at the same time and rush right over.

“Isla! I’m so happy to see you! These must be Arden and Lochlan.” He kneels down to eye level, offering his hand for them to shake. I’m Mr. Chris, I’ll be your principal this year.”

They both give him a small shake then Arden points to Nathan standing behind Chris. “Who’s he?”

The man in question takes his husband’s spot, giving a small wave. “Hey little man, I’m Mr. Nathan, and I’m the counselor for the school. I’m here to talk if you need a friend or just someone to talk to.”

Both boys look at the two new men in front of them for a moment, then look at each other and nod. Arden looks back at Nathan. “Okay, maybe. Can we go see our classrooms now?” he asks, turning to me.

“Yeah baby, we can. Could you point us in the right direction for Mrs. Moncrief’s kindergarten and Mrs. Griffin’s pre-k classes?”

Chris smiles at the boys as Nathan stands up. “Yes ma’am, just go all the way down the main hall. The kindergarten and pre-k classes are in the last hallway on the right. Arden’s class will be the last room on the left, and Lochlan’s is the second to last on the right.”

“Okay, thanks guys. I’m going to stop by the office with the rest of the paperwork, but I need to get the papers for the background check. I’m going to do that after I leave here,” I tell them, grabbing the boys’ hands to head to their classes.
