3. ASHER

Of course, he showed up. That was a completely reasonable thing for him to do, clearly. The man basically pressed himself up against me, even if I had been the way who did most of the pressing. It stressed me out to know he was here, hiding behind a corner or something equally annoying.

This place was my happy place. I enjoyed getting all dressed up and having one of the other kittens put the make up on me. It was a distinct atmosphere between here and the frat house. I would’ve been nervous to take it all off and head back, but I doubt the professor would ever mention to anyone that he was here, much less that he saw me, one of his students who he rubbed up against.

The money I made here paid for booze back at the house. Nobody else knew that, but Jordan’s parents were slowly cutting him off and the frat funds were running incredibly dry. It didn’t help that the one guy who came in to help us was fired—or he quit. Something happened and he left us, the school didn’t give us another house director, especially since we were so close to the end of the semester and school year.

I never did anything with anyone here. There was a strong consent policy on touching, but once you consented, everything was on the table—sometimes actually on the table.

Undressing in the changing room, I looked around at the other guys leaving and some of them arriving. In all my dreams, I never thought I would’ve been surrounded by men in their buff bodies, or men who were as skinny as twigs all dressing up in our kitten play uniforms. Some of them were decorated with little Hello Kitty pins, and some of them had cinched waists with rainbow ribbon.

“What’s it like down there?” one guy asked as he caught me watching him apply eyeliner in the mirror. “Make much?”

“Couple hundred bucks,” I said, raising an arm in my tight t-shirt to flex my bicep.

“Ooh,” he said, pursing his lips. “Well, aren’t you lucky.”

“They love to sniff and bite, but playfully,” I said, shrugging. I didn’t let them do more than touch me, and my dick was off bounds to them. If I opened them up to that area, then they would’ve tried to fuck, and I was still figuring out my whole deal with sex and guys.

I drove my motorbike back to the house, stopping by at a local liquor store to grab a couple bottles of booze.

By the time I made it back to the frat house, the party was in full swing. It was considerably tame considering all the parties we’d had over the years. That was mostly down to the school coming down hard on us.

Parking in the garage, I came out with the small crate of liquor bottles. Raising them high above my head, applause followed. They cheered at the site of the alcohol.

I handed the crate to Jordan, the fraternity president as he stood on patrol at the door. “I’ll be down in a minute, gonna get changed.”

“Is that glitter?”

Rubbing the back of my hand against my cheek, I shook my head. “Probably sweat. You want some?” I laughed off, holding my backpack close.

People stopped me on the way through the house, drunk, wanting to talk. Their voices slurred and their proclamations were grand, but I had to go store this stuff and take a shower. There was only so much the makeup wipes would do at the Manor.

“Ash,” a voice said as I entered my room.

My room was supposed to be a shared room, but the guy dropped out, and I refused to let anyone else move in. I had both the single beds pushed together to form a small double bed.

“Spencer,” I replied, flicking the light switch. “What are you doing?” I asked. “Wait—wait. What are you doing in the dark?”

“I was waiting for you,” he said, standing from my bed. He pushed me against the bedroom door, shutting it. “You’ve been avoiding me. And it hurts. Like, what would you do if I just started avoiding you?”

I wasn’t in the mood to entertain this crazy right now. “You have a girlfriend. I’m not going to help you cheat on her. But if you break up, I’ll happily talk to you.” Things between us were strange. Spencer and I were both on the swimming team. He was a junior. He made the first move, before Spencer, I’d only ever been with girls. I only learned that Spencer had been hooking up with any secretly bi or gay guys on campus for over a year when he came out as bisexual. And then promptly found himself a girlfriend, something I was still wracking my brain over. The timing was strange, but I wasn’t going to judge him—at least not too much.

“Sadie and I were hooking up for a long time,” he said. “We’re basically going to end up together, so I asked her out. It’s not like she doesn’t know I’m bi. In fact, she asked me about threesomes. So, I know she doesn’t mind me checking guys out.”

“Yeah, well, I’m not interested in you and Sadie,” I told him, dropping my bag from my shoulders. “I’m not interested in you right now.” There was only person I was interested in, and I hated the fact that I even wanted anything to do with him. I saw the anger in his eyes tonight, and that got me solid, but as my eyes returned to Spencer, I felt nothing. “Sorry. Loads of guys came out when Emmett did, so maybe go find yourself someone else.”

He stepped back. “Are you being serious right now?”

“Deadly serious. I might act like I take nothing serious, but I do when it matters. So, you’re gonna have to leave my room.”

Spencer brows turned and he pouted. “But—what if I moved into your room?” he asked. “You suggested that once.”

“You’re not getting it, Spence. We can’t do this.”

Upsetting people wasn’t something I ever thought I did, annoy people, sure. But upsetting someone where tears were involved, that wasn’t part of me. I was the comic relief; I was the funny bone that you whacked, and it made you feel all wiggly inside.

“You decided that,” I told him. “And I hope you can respect that.” My voice, a more somber tone.

He nodded. At least he understood. But I didn’t know if he understood it really, or if he was pretending to understand because that’s what I’d wanted.

As I moved from the doorway, he left my room.

The doors didn’t come with locks, but I had a little wood wedge I can kick beneath the bottom of the door to keep it shut.

In the low vibrational thump of disco and techno music through the house, I laid back on the bed and stared at the ceiling.

Rubbing a hand at my face, I collected a little of the glitter residue from my skin. I had to get a lot better at cleaning my face before coming back. Not that anyone would say anything, glitter was in everything these days, and I’d used glitter in several—hundred pranks, probably. Pranking was a highlight reel. Today’s sprinkler was going into it, but the clean-up wasn’t.

Lifting my t-shirt up to my belly button, I slipped a hand down the front of my trousers and into my underwear, grabbing at the semi-erect cock half-awake from the thoughts of Professor Stirling. I didn’t know the man wore leather, or t-shirts. He seemed like such a rule follower with his strait-laced teaching clothes.

“You want to fuck?” I whispered, testing out phrases I could’ve said to him. “You want to take care of all my kitty cat needs?”

I had a lot of needs. I fell into kitten play after answered a job listing. At first, the idea of dressing up was strange, but then everything fell into place, and now I craved to have my ears on and the clothes. I’d seen so many different clothes I could try on, but the maid’s outfit was a uniform more than anything.

I extended my tongue to at the air. I’d been practicing the roll on my tongue. My free hand turned to a loose fist, mimicking a paw as I dabbed it against my cheek and stroked down my chin. This was the sensation I required. This was the sensation I needed. It calmed the voices in my mind.
