“He’s like family to me. So yes, I want him there,” I said. “Do you have a problem with that?”

“No. Just know that what you learn might not be something you want to be public knowledge,” he said.

It couldn’t be that big of a secret because Greg knew about it, even if Logan didn’t seem to remember.

We left Logan’s office and I said, “The hotel had a bar. What do you say we have a liquid dinner?”

“Throw in some buffalo wings and you’re on.”

As we got into the taxi I asked, “What did you think about Logan?”

“He seemed to answer you honestly. Whatever issue Greg has with him, Logan doesn’t seem to be aware of it,” Jack said.

“That’s a good sign, right?” I asked.

“Depends on what we learn in the morning.”

Whatever it is, it’s Greg’s problem. I know I haven’t done anything to hurt Annabella, and that’s all that truly matters to me.

Since I haven’t heard from Annabella, I wasn’t so sure she felt the same way. Once I got this all sorted out, I was going to find out.

Annabella, you’re worth fighting for. I just hope you want me to fight.
