Rolling his eyes, Nicolas lets go of her. Lifting his gun, he pulls the trigger, shooting her in the back of her head. I don’t have anything left inside of me to scream as her body slumps to the ground.

I’ve lost count of how many people I’ve seen being murdered.

My eyes run over the sea of faces of the MC. Some new. Some I’ve seen before. There’s more of them, and it dawns on me that there was no way Milton was ever coming back to me.

A hand grips my upper arm, dragging me over to a recognizable silver Harley. Blake sits as Nick gets on his bike next to his father’s. I can see him staring at me from the corner of his eye, but I can’t look at him.

“I’ve missed you,” Blake says, bringing my attention back to him. He’s staring at me, eyes raking my body. “Those other whores I’ve been fucking ain’t been doing it for me.” My eyes narrow, and he laughs huskily. “Come on now, don’t look at me like that. You know you’re my one and only.”

Reaching out, he grips my hair and drags me toward him. Knowing what he wants, I pull against his grip, not caring that some of my hair breaks away from my scalp. Not caring that it hurts. I steel my lips together, arching away from him. Enough for his forehead to crease. “You not going to give me a kiss?”

“Doesn’t seem like she wants to,” Nick adds to the fire. “I can think of one person shedoeswant to kiss, though.”

“Is that right?” He lets go of my hair. “You been kissing someone else?” He smiles when I say nothing, though I’m sure he sees the answer in my eyes. That I’ve been doing more than that. “Turn around.”

Warily, I turn my back to him. Something black goes over my eyes. He’s blindfolding me. Then, his hands run over my body. I wince as they go over my breasts, waist, and pockets…

My heart painfully clenches when he pulls out my phone. I hear it fall to the ground with a crack. Then, I’m being pulled back onto his bike, and my stomach lurches as he starts moving. We ride for so long that I can’t feel any part of my body. Not that I want to. I don’t want to feel anything.

“Nicolas,” Blake calls when we finally stop.

Hands that are not Blake’s replace his as I’m lifted and thrown over a shoulder like I’m nothing but cargo. Feet hit the concrete. There’s a rumble of laughter as we go inside somewhere, but it goes quiet as I’m put down on my feet. The blindfold is lifted away, revealing a large room full of men, and scantily dressed women. The smell is the same as it used to be, of smoke and liquor.

“Deuce,” Blake bellows across the room. “Is it done?”

My eyes rove the crowd, coming to Deuce. He has a bandage around his shoulder and arm. He’s glaring at me. “It’s done.”

Blake laughs, clapping his hands together. “That fucker won’t be coming back from the dead this time!”

My world fades, and I sag into Nick’s grasp. He holds me up, bending to my ear. “Didn’t I tell you what would happen if you got someone to help you?”

I shiver, feeling sick, faces in the room whirling.

No. Milton can’t be dead. He…he can’t. He always comes back. He has to come back.

My eyes meet Nicole’s. She’s over by the bar, glaring at Nick holding me like a jealous bitch. The way he’s whispering in my ear. Her eyes meet mine, and they darken a shade.

I’m back.

I scream.

“The fuck—”

Tearing myself from Nick’s grip, I grab someone’s beer bottle and smash it against the edge of a table. Nick curses, but Blake’s already there, coming to grab me.

I put the broken ends of the glass to my neck, stopping him in his tracks. I stab myself enough for a bit of blood to seep from my skin. It stings. There’s a gasp behind from one of the girls, spurring me to go a bit deeper.

Nick goes to step forward.

“Stop,” Blake says to him, eyes still on me. Nicolas doesn’t move. “What are you going to do with that?”

“I’m going to slice my fucking neck open so you can’t have me, that’s what!” I’ve lost it. I don’t care. He took Milton away from me just like he said he would. He took the only person I care about away.

I did say I would die before I came back here—the only reason I got this far was to save Hilary and Peter. Now, I’m free to do whatever the hell I want. Because the only person who owns me isme.

I stab deeper. A wave of dizziness hits me, and Nick turns to glare at his father. “Fucking do something!”

Blake only grins, and I’m about to drag it across my throat when something hits the back of my head. I fall to the floor as Nicole stands above me, holding a bat. She hit me. I don’t have time to call her the fucking bitch she is before the room gets swallowed in blackness.
