CHAPTER SEVENTEEN

Zach

Laura pranced in the kitchen and stood next to me. Her damp hair smelled like my shampoo, and in away that still confused me; Iliked it, liked having me on her.

She watched me as Iscoured around the less-used area of the house for tea. For obvious reasons, hot black coffee was my poison when it came to hot drinks. Idid remember buying tea, once. Maybe when Imoved in. “Where’sthe fucking tea?”

Laura hopped on the counter, crossing her legs, my Harvard T-shirt riding high up her thighs. “Idon’tneed tea. Ineed you to go to bed. Shit, Ineed to go to bed.”

Unable to restrain myself with all that skin in my face, Ishoved ahand up her smooth flesh. My fingers dug into that sensitive area where her thigh ended and Imassaged it slowly, my mouth going involuntarily to her neck.

“You’ve been here for acouple hours already.” Isqueezed her again. Her head dropped to my shoulder, huffing out air. “And as much as Ilove feeding you my cum, there’sno way in hell it’sthe only thing you’ll eat or drink here.”

She snapped her head up, her eyes wide. “What did you say to me?”

“Italked about making tea when there’snothing edible in this house.” Ireached around her, checking the expiration date on the crackers Ihad on the counter. “No, nothing to eat. So, fuck yeah, I’mserious.”

Laura’schin lowered, glaring at me from beneath her thick lashes. “Zach…”

Iwalked around her, boiling water and organizing the mugs with the decaf green tea Ihad located in one of the bottom drawers. Her menacing stare didn’twaver; Iknew that even without seeing her.

“Laura, you are supposed to be far too used to me by now.” Isnuck up on her, throwing her over my shoulder and carrying her to the bedroom. “You actually think I’mafucking pig who talks about cum feedings?”

With her legs pinned to my bare chest, she tried to tickle me with zero luck. Every time she got anywhere near my waist, Iswung her to the other side, her laugh filling my usually empty halls.

“Idon’tthink you’re apig.” She leaned on her forearms when Iplaced her on the bed.

From between her thighs after crouching down to her, Iasked the obvious question. “I’mnot, although Idid suffer an unfortunate loss of my brain-to-mouth filter at birth.”

“That long, huh?” Her labored breaths drew me in closer.

No, not again. As tempting and as maddening as it looked. And smelled. And tasted when Ibit her thigh.

“Where are you going?” she called after me on my way out of the room.

“To get the fucking tea.”

And Idid. Laura inspected the mug Ihanded her, leaned over to read what was written on the one Iheld, then raised an eyebrow. “Want to explain these?”

“Two of my favorites. Thomas and Erin get me one of these every birthday.” Imoved to sit against the headboard with her.

“Once in awhile someone amazing comes along and here Iam?” She pointed to the one she held. “Erin, my friend Erin, got you this? Seriously?”

Of course she wouldn’tknow, she had no reason to. Since whatever started between us had simmered down to afriendship and then withered to nothing, none of us even bothered with aHappy Birthdaywhen Facebook notified us, and we celebrated birthdays separately. Ididn’tknow why, it just never worked.

“You seemed to think Iwas even more than amazing less than an hour ago.”

She shook her head, the corners of her eyes crinkling as she sipped from her mug. “Pretty sure Erin wasn’treferring to your tongue skills.”

“No, no, she wasn’t. But other than that, I’dgive that woman anything she wants. She’sthe reason Thomas is smiling after God knows how many years.”

“She does have that effect on people.”

“Agreed.” Ilifted the covers for her to scoot under.

As Itucked her in, she said, “So do you.”

“Uh…” Ipaused, searching for answers from the blanket. Not too many people got me flustered the number of times Laura did, if at all.
