I walked around the bar, my admirer had already turned around and was looking right at me.

“Thanks for making the trip,” he said with a weird looking grin. “I’m Andrew.”

“I’m Grace,” I said. “And, no, that’s not my real name. I’m not going to tell you my real name either. Is that a problem?”

“Let me guess,” he said. “You’re someone’s daughter, right? Someone powerful. And you’re sneaking around a club like this to get out for one night. How lucky are you that you found me?”

“Lucky?”

“I’m the best at one-night entertainment,” he said. He then jumped away from the bar toward me. “Between the sheets.” There was another step. “Sex. Fucking. I’m going to fuck you tonight. I don’t even want to see you again. After tonight.”

My eyes went wide. “Wow. That was abrupt.”

“Why bother flirting?” Andrew asked. “I’ve already taken your clothes off with my mind.”

“And what exactly do you see?” I asked.

“Big tits and a sloppy mouth,” he said.

I cringed. “Okay. Let’s not play that game. How about you buy me a drink and we start over?”

“But you already know the ending to this.”

“Maybe I like it that way,” I said. “Maybe I’m curious about the middle.”

“The naked parts,” he said.

“Sure… the naked parts…”

Before I could ask myself what the hell I was trying to achieve, Eva appeared next to me.

“There you are!” she yelled. “It’s time to take your medicine.”

“Medicine?” I asked.

“What medicine?” Andrew asked.

“She didn’t tell you?” Eva asked. “She’s got crabs! She’s got a whole seafood restaurant going on down there. What’s your favorite? Crabs? Oysters? Lobsters!”

Eva pinched her hands together like lobster claws and moved toward Andrew.

He stepped away and looked like he was going to throw up.

“She just keeps her legs open and collects all the diseases she can get!” Eva yelled. “Hey, question, are you up to date on your tetanus shots? What about a rabies shot?”

“I have to go,” Andrew said.

He turned and darted into the crowd.

I slowly turned my head to look at Eva.

“Seafood restaurant?” I asked.

“What the hell are you trying to prove right now?” Eva asked.

“This is my last song of the night,” Zoe said from the stage. “Thank you for coming out to support me.”

I walked away from Eva.
