“Whoa.” I say seeing her completely differently.

“Yeah. That was brave.” Adriel says.

“I am telling you this so you know that you would not be the first to walk away from everything and you won't be the last. I raised my boys to respect women and protect their bodies and hearts. From their father they have only seen patience and love between us. So if you both choose them, I promise you, you won’t regret it.”

The rest of the conversation is light, which is great because after that conversation, my mind is muddled. We finish the food prep and cleaning right as everyone starts arriving.

Meeting his family is amazing and overwhelming. They are all so friendly and kind. I love the little kids. So freaking cute. “Imogen sweetie, can you go grab the tray of cookies off the counter?”

“Sure.” I walk into the kitchen and grab the tray.

“Hey Imogen!” I turn, damn near dropping the cookies.

“Aasta?! What are you doing here?” behind her walks Sebastian. When he wraps his hand around her waist I am stunned, then happy. “Oh my gosh. You two?” he leans down and kisses the side of her neck before nodding.

“Pequeña, mom was asking for… Oh hey Bam Bam,” Alex says walking in. “And who is this?” I turn toward him and introduce him.

“Alex this is my other older sister, Aasta.” His eyes get big and then he drops into a full on belly laugh.

“Wow! This is crazy. Three for three huh.” Watching him laugh is contagious. He doesn’t do it often but when he does, it give me tingles. We all laugh for a second before we join the gathering.

Watching my girl interact with my family, further cements that she is meant for me. She fits like she was born to us. Her sisters are also pretty awesome, but no one is as amazing my Pequeña. Right now she is walking around holding Jazlyn, my cousin Edoardo’s baby girl. She is barely three months old, but I can tell she is going to rule the roost.

I won’t lie, watching her carry this tiny baby around is doing shit to my chest, but also my prick. He has been weeping, basically cursing me for not pulling her into the bedroom for a second to spill inside of her once more, but she is having fun and she deserves it. “Sort of makes you think about what’s next, doesn’t it?” My father comes up on the right of me.

“Yeah.” I can’t take my eyes from her, picturing her carrying one kid in her arms while she is barely showing with the other.

“It is almost time for graduation. Have you given any thought to how you are going to give that girl the life she deserves?” I have been thinking about nothing but that when I am not thinking about how to get my cock inside of her.

“Yeah Papi. I have. Actually, when this is over, I would like to sit down and talk to you, man to man.” He pats me on the back.

“You know where to find me, hijo.”

The BBQ goes off without a hitch. Everyone loved my girl like I knew they would and she really enjoyed herself. As per usual, since the women did all the prep, even though the guys actually cooked the meat, we clean up. After kissing Imogen, I send her upstairs to soak and relax before I am done.

Clean up is finished. House is quiet. I walk towards my father study and hear my mom laughing before she moans. I turn to leave not wanting to interrupt them and the office opens. “My baby boy. Are you too grown for a hug from your mama?” I see wetness in her eyes and I never want to see my mom cry.

“No. Of course not.” She pulls me in and wraps her arms around me.

“I am so proud of you, baby boy. She is a darling. I have seen you change before my eyes since you met her. You are going to have your own family soon, but you will always be my baby.” she kisses my cheeks and walks away before I can respond.

“Come in son.” I walk into his office and sit in the chair across from him. “I take it you have made a decision about your future?”

“Yes Papi, I have.” I just hope she wants what I have in mind.

CHAPTER 23

ONE WEEK LATER

I am fundamentally different than I was a week ago. I mean down to the very basics of my DNA. That week sneaking around with Alex and then spending the weekend with him and his family and my sisters. It changed me.

Interacting with his parents, watching them together, how in love they are after all of these years, the passion between the two of them, it altered everything I thought I knew. It certainly helped watching Adriel with MJ and Aasta with Sebastian. There are no reservations and no regret I could see from them. To be honest, they told me as much when I asked Saturday night after the impromptu BBQ. They found love and I couldn’t be happier for them. I haven’t met his brother Mateo yet. Seems he was out of town all weekend.
