I chuckle. There’s never a dull moment with this circus I call a family.
“So was that it?” Dex stands, clearly done with our heart-to-heart.
“Yeah. That was it.”
“Good. I got a date with my wife.”
Link smirks. “Aw, look at how he puffs out when he calls Mo his wife.”
“It really is cute,” Simon adds.
Dex shakes his head and walks toward the door. “You’re all just jealous. Later.” With that, he leaves.
I refuse to dwell on the fact that I wasted so much time and caused my girl so much pain because I was too much of a pussy to stand up to my little brother and his friends. But where do you cross the line between loyalty to your family and love?
Guess it doesn’t matter now. No lines have to be crossed. I can have both .
