Hannah’s smile tightened as Tracy faltered, clearly realizing the giant turd pile she’d almost stepped in.

“Anyway, we adore Blake. He’s such a nice boy for Kristen.”

Maybe all parents referred to grown men in their twenties as boys, and not just her own mom.

Speaking of Blake, they watched as he walked toward the group to take his place by the makeshift altar. It was sweet and simple. A row of seaweed surrounded by white clam shells.

“And Kristen looks stunning.” Tracy leaned down to whisper. “I couldn’t help myself and had to sneak a peek. She’s got a little dressing room pop-up tent thing down the beach. That’s where she’s getting ready.”

Ah, that explained where Kristen was.

“She’s got Tori doing her makeup—that’s her best friend.”

Tori.

Hannah had been so busy worrying about her ex, she’d forgotten that the women he’d kissed would be here today too. Well, that certainly shot the uncomfortable level today from mild to major.

Focus on the wedding, ignore the rest.

“Oh, it’s starting! Here she comes,” Tracy gushed as a violin began to play.

Hannah turned to face the direction of the bride, only it wasn’t Kristen walking toward them. It was Tori and James.

Together, with her arm linked around his and a bouquet in her hand.

It registered then. They were the maid of honor and best man.

And oh, what a pair they made.

Tori’s dark-blue dress hugged every curve on her body. It probably would’ve been closer to knee-length on someone shorter, but with Tori’s height, it ended mid-thigh. And then there was leg. So much leg. Dear God, how was it legal to have that much leg?

Or that flawless complexion? And that worthy of a shampoo ad long, perfectly highlighted brown hair?

Tori was an absolute knockout. Gorgeous. Spellbinding. All the big words men used to describe hot women. Tori was that.

The realization didn’t bring any sadness or resentment, more just a weird sense of wonder.

“I’d have been tempted to kiss her too.”

“What?” Tracy glanced down at her in surprise.

Oh God. Hannah’s eyes widened. She’d said that aloud.

Was she freakingout?

While everyone else was watching the maid of honor and best man walk down the beach toward them, Eric’s attention was firmly on Hannah.

How horrific was this for her? Watching her ex and the chick he’d kissed walking together like lovers.

Eric’s gaze shifted back to the pair. They didn’t look like lovers, though. Behind the forced smiles, their eyes glittered with anger.

Interesting.

What he wouldn’t give to know what had happened five minutes ago between those two.

None of your business.
