They glared at each other, mostly ignoring me, but I raised my voice. “Come here!”

They both finally listened, and I held each of their hands. I squeezed. “Work together. I love both of you, and our babies need you to stop fighting.”

“We love you too,” Tschenkar said.

“You dare speak for me?” Thuliak asked.

I raised an eyebrow at Thuliak, and he cleared his throat. “You may speak for me on this subject, as it’s true, I do love her as well. As much as you, or perhaps more—”

I squeezed Thuliak’s hand, and he took the hint and shut his mouth.

“I’m so happy,” I said, “that both of you are safe. I’ve never been in a triumvirate before, but I have to assume it’s not a contest to see who loves who more.”

“It’s not,” Thuliak said. “You’ve become very wise…Matron.”

Tschenkar looked ready to take credit for my wisdom, but he’d become wise enough to finally shut his mouth sometimes too. He turned to Thuliak. “I’m glad you’re safe, Brother. You’ll have to tell me how you came up with that batshit infiltration plan later, but for now, let’s go make sure these babies don’t get born out in the cold.”

The two men nodded, and we went on our way. They took turns dragging me toward the bunker, while the entire squad of Khetar warriors formed a defensive perimeter around us.

I drifted in and out of sleep, and after a few cycles of falling asleep and waking back up, I woke up to find Midwife on the sled with me, holding my hand.

“Midwife,” I whispered.

She smiled. “I have two now too.” She tilted her head toward the edge of where I could see, where Menkor and Kantus had joined the defensive perimeter. Menkor had a huge, shit-eating grin plastered on his face. I wondered how many times he’d fucked Midwife now—and how many times he’d cum in her—before they finally set out on their way to catch back up to us. At this rate, I was going to have to be Midwife next, and Midwife might just want to stay in the bunker to have her babies if the Khetar forces weren’t able to secure the surface before she was due.

“Is Kantus doing okay?” I asked in a low whisper, knowing it was a sensitive topic.

“I think the sex helped him,” she whispered, giggling. “But it’s hard for him. He’d been three bodies for a long time, and it’s taking a lot for him to adjust. I guess having Menkor join us so soon after losing his bodies will help him cope a bit.”

“They get along?” I asked.

“They’re both smart. Menkor isn’t as prejudiced against theInseminatorsas a lot of…” she trailed off, realizing she might offend me.

“It’s fine,” I said. “Go on.”

“Um, he’s more open-minded. I mean. At one point, Menkor even let Kantus wrap his hand around his big teal cock, and then he pumped it with his hand a lot—like those holos did to themselves—and then right before he came, Menkor finished off inside of me.”

My eyes widened. I was pretty sure Thuliak and Tschenkar wouldnevertouch each other like that—even if they did like to fuck me at the same time—and I was glad they wouldn’t, because the idea of that didn’t really turn me on. From the glitter in Midwife’s eye, it turnedheron, and I was happy for her that she had what she wanted.

“Midwife, on the radio, have they—”

Something tightened inside of me. Something moved. Then something broke in me. I felt wet, like I’d peed, but I hadn’t peed.

I looked down and frowned. “Something’s happening.”

All babies were delivered surgically on Eden. We never let them get this far. I didn’t know if a bunch of gross wet stuff suddenly coming out was normal or not. Or maybe it was just another freaky alien thing.

I thought Thuliak and Tschenkar had been ignoring us, but the moment I said the words, both Khetar men were at my side.

“What happened?” Thuliak asked.

“Tell us,” Tschenkar pressed. “Is everything okay?”

“I’m not sure. Something wet came out.”

“The nourishing fluids,” Tschenkar said, voice reverent, “they’ve bloody broken out. No pun intended. But it means—”

“The babies are coming now, Airlock,” Thuliak said. He looked up, grabbing hold of the rope. “Move at double speed! Go!”
