Nathan called me after his movie date with Yanika. Apparently, they bumped into her ex-husband, and he sat behind them in the cinema. For the duration of the entire movie.Probably not so romantic.

And finally, my personal favorite. Tracey, a delightful woman in her early thirties, who worked as a veterinary assistant, was matched to Mitch, a police officer training to work with the canine unit. I thought this would be a fantastic match, and they’d have so much to talk about. Well, it turns out I was right. Tracey had plenty to say. Mitch had given her a traffic ticket earlier that day when she’d been rushing home to get ready for their date.

Starting on the second coat of nail polish, I mentally run through the week ahead of me. It goes without saying, next month has to be better. I’m feeling the stress. I need this job. Well, a job, at least. I have bills to pay. Living in the city is expensive.

I have a few clients lined up and some following up to do from this past weekend’s dates. My boss passed a client on to me, and I think it’s going to be a bit of a test. Randomly, I spoke to the client’s mother, which I confess is a new one to me—she wants to set her son up before a big fancy social wedding, and apparently, the family is quite well off. She gave me some basic information and contact details for her son.

Dean Lawless.

He’s the focus of my time next week, and in particular, finding him flawless dates. I’m determined to make a success of this, and nothing, I repeat, nothing will get in the way of finding Dean his perfect match.

Flawless for Lawless.

I should get a T-shirt made.
