My God…Wyatt is a world-renowned Michelin star chef, so if anyone would know, it would be him.

“If I could, I’d devour you with a glass of Dom Pérignon Rose Gold champagne. It’s a vintage,” he adds, his lips brushing against the shell of my ear.

“What?” I ask with a gasp. His touch and his words nearly cause my knees to buckle.

“Can I ask you something?”

I blink a few times. “Yes.”

“Would you consider yourself a curious person?” he questions, his lips curving into a smile. “I certainly am.”

“Oh God.” My entire body tingles from him being so close, but then reality washes over me like a cold bucket of water. I need to get away from him before I embarrass myself anymore. “I-I have to go,” I blurt out, my heart pounding wildly against my chest.

He tips my chin up. “Where?”

“To work.”

His eyes dart down to my lips, and then back up to my eyes. “What time do you get back?”

“Around four-o’clock.” My cheeks heat up. “Why do you ask?”

“Just curious,” he says, a slow grin spreading across his face. “Today is Friday, so I’ll be home from work around nine-o’clock tonight. But you already knew that. Right?”

Eep! He knows that I watch him!

I don’t reply. I just rush into the elevator and press the close door button.
