He rested his head on her shoulder as they returned to their bodies, and their panting breaths slowed.

“I think you de-sassed me,” she said on a sweet, sated breath.

He pulled out and then scooped her into his arms.

She gasped and giggled. “What are you doing?”

“I’m examining your chameleon eyes, and I’ve got bad news.”

“What’s that?”

He licked his lips. “I still see some sass in there.”

She gifted him with that dirty smirk that got him hard and ready to bring this party upstairs. “Looks like you’ve got more work to do, pop star. Are you up for it?”

He held her securely with one arm and grabbed the bonbon-filled Scrabble box. “Mrs. Presley-Paige?” he said, ready to devour her and a box of chocolates.

“Yes, heartthrob husband?” she sassed, and Christ, he’d take her feisty any day of the week.

“You better fuel up with a bonbon or two. You’ll need your strength.”

“And why is that?” she purred.

He drank her in. “I’m not even close to being done with you yet.”
