Tanner tips her head back, her eyes finding mine. “They don’t even know me,” she says, her voice soft and sweet.

Fuck me, but this woman really goddamn does it for me, in every way possible. I almost forget about the whole thing. The kidnapping, the rescue, her brother, all of it. Touching my mouth to hers, I murmur against her lips.

“You’re one of them, Tanner. You’re family. They’ve been really worried.”

Lifting my head, I search her gaze with mine and see the worry behind her eyes. She doesn’t say anything else, instead, she takes a step backward, then she turns and makes her way toward the women.

I can’t take my eyes off of her. I know that I should turn to Tiny and talk to him. He has something he wants to say, but I can’t look away from Tanner. I watch as Ivory jumps up and practically sprints toward her.

My lips curve up into a grin at the sight of the women sliding down from their chairs and encircling Tanner. None of the women look the exact same, in fact, they all have different body shapes and clothing styles, but still they somehow all fit together.

“Riff?” a voice calls out.

Turning my head, I look over to see Tiny standing just a few feet away. His arms cross over his chest as he looks down into my eyes. He clears his throat, then jerks his chin toward the hallway. Following behind him, we make our way toward Prez’s office.

It’s quiet in here, too quiet, but I have a feeling this conversation is going to be serious as fuck considering he didn’t want to have it in the middle of the bar. This isn’t just some throwaway something, this is some real shit coming my way. Sucking in a breath, I hold it until Doc starts talking.

“Brianne isnotpregnant,” he says. “In fact…” he continues, pausing for a moment. My eyes widen as those words sink in as I wait for him to finish. “She can’t get pregnant. She’s had a full hysterectomy,” he explains.

“What the fuck?” I exhale.

Tiny nods his head a couple of times as if he’s trying to get the information to sink in, himself. “Tell me about it. I looked twice. I was worried as fuck, but she can’t have them, brother. But that’s only part of it.”

“Do I even want to know?” I ask him.

He shrugs a shoulder, his gaze searching mine. “It’s nothing crazy. Just… her medical records that were sent over. I got them after much persuasion. She has a serious background in mental health. I think that even if you’re able to get rid of her, she’s going to be obsessive over you, and especially over Tanner. She needs some serious fucking help. I sedated her for now. Sinks almost killed her.”

“Wonderful,” I grunt.

“Tell me the fuck about it.”
