“What?”

“Word on the street is that you look just like Ruby, too.”

A blush creeps up over her cheeks along with a smile. “You didn’t know me when you got this tattoo.”

“About that. Ezra is going to get so much shit.”

Zara’s mouth parts in surprise as she reaches the same conclusion as me. “Ezra tattooed Ruby’s face on you?”

I laugh. I can’t help it. “He tattoos freehand. I wonder if the asshole even realized he was doing it.”

Zara shakes her head, too stunned to respond. I cup her cheeks, wanting to kiss her again. Wanting to do it for hours on end. I can’t get enough of this woman.

I give in, losing myself in her soft lips. She sinks into me, letting me hold her with so much trust. It’s a gift. When I finally pull back, I almost hate to say what’s on my mind. It will likely make that sweet, hazy look disappear from her face.

“Ezra could cover this up for you.” My fingers barely graze over the spot where the mark sits between her shoulder blades. I expect her to pull away, but she doesn’t. Her eyes are bright as she gazes up at me, her voice choked with emotion when she speaks.

“Yes. I would like that very much.”

“Okay. I’ll get something set up.”

“Just let him know I don’t want Ruby’s face on my back.”

We both laugh and I pull her against me in a hug that she gives me right back. Squeezing me so tight I can barely breathe. And I don’t give a damn. I’ll hold my breath forever to keep her in my arms like this.

“I’m wondering if you could help me with something?” Zara says into my chest, the heat of her breaths painting my skin.

“Anything. What do you need?”

Zara lifts her head and raises her brows. “Just like that? Don’t you want to know what you’re agreeing to first? I could ask you to dance around the room naked for me.”

It’s my turn to raise my brows, a smile lifting the corner of my mouth. “Are you asking for that? I’ve never done it naked, but I do have some rhythm.” With my hands splayed on her back and another at the top of her ass, I hold her close as I move our bodies in a dirty sway.

Zara hums low in her throat, her arms thrown over my shoulders. “I really need you to be sleeping for what I had in mind.”

I stop my dancing, what’s really more of a slow grind, and cock my head. “Sleeping?”

“I was thinking I could try to dream walk again. I thought if I was in someone’s mind who was aware I was there, then it might be easier to figure out what I can do. It’s going to be hard to experiment in Colton’s mind since I have no clue what I’m doing. Plus, I don’t know what he might remember after.

“Okay.”

“Okay?” Zara asks, the ghost of a smile on her face. “Just that easy?”

“You’re in my dreams half the time anyway, so it’s not like it’s anything new.”

Zara groans and shoves at my shoulders, but I don’t let her go. I’m never going to let her go.
