King’s Vow

A GUERRERA SYNDICATE NOVEL

ELLA KADE & HARLOW LAYNE

Blurb

We met in darkness.

Fate brought us back together and almost as quickly ripped us apart.

The world we lived in thrived on greed and deception.

Two dark souls converged and aligned in an eruption of vengeance and hatred.

Death almost ended us, and now nothing could break us. Or so we thought. What will happen when our world tries to tear us apart at every turn?

King’s Vow is the intriguing first book in the Guerrera Syndicate series. If you like strong heroines, alpha males, and dark romance, then you’ll love Ella Kade’s mafia/drug cartel romance.

Buy King’s Vow to immerse yourself in the dark world of the Guerrera’s today!

Agrin tugged at my lips as I heard footsteps behind me. I didn’t look back, but I heard plenty. Whoever was behind me thought they were light on their feet, but they were wrong. Each time I stopped at a traffic light, he slowed down and hid in the shadows where I couldn’t see him unless I was trying to seek him out. No, I was going to let him think he was some 007 bullshit.

Instead of doing what most would do when they thought someone was following them, I slowed my pace. I wanted to get caught and see what would happen. Maybe, however, whoever it was wouldn’t work up their nerve, and I’d make it to my destination before they got to me, or maybe just maybe, I’d have a little fun tonight.

I pulled out my phone, looking down at it, acting like I didn’t know my surroundings one hundred percent perfectly. It wasn’t smart for a woman to be out by herself at night in Stonewall and not have her faculties about her. It was a good thing I wasn’t like most women.

The footsteps behind me quickened. It was difficult not to react as excitement built in the pit of my stomach and quickly filled my veins. I was a live wire ready to attack given the opportunity.

The footsteps came closer, and I heard the shift of fabric before I felt the slight bump. Not bad, but not good enough. I might not have noticed if he hadn’t been following me for three blocks. Whoever he was, he had picked the wrong mark, and I was ready to show him how wrong he was.
