“That’s so nice of them,” mom squeaks, a little louder than she usually would.

“Are you guys having fun?” I ask them.

They’re on a trip around the world and currently in Italy. I don’t see why they wouldn’t have fun, it’s the trip they talked about taking for thirty years. Besides, what isn’t there to love about Italy? Hearing them speak about the joy they are having, makes me all kinds of happy.

“Yes,” my mother answers resolutely as she stares right into the camera. “We’re on a tasting tour of something called limoncello. Do you know of the limoncello? It’s like God’s purpose for lemons.”

“She’s a little drunk, isn’t she, Dad?”

Dad nods while mom’s face takes over the screen again.

“I’m not drunk young lady, I’m tasting.”

“Give me the phone Sadie,” my father says while taking it from her hands.

The last thing I see is them kissing and giggling like they’re in high school, forgetting about their daughter on the phone. I hang up with a warm, fuzzy feeling inside. I might’ve lost my faith in love, but it seems true love isn’t dead after all.
