“What’s taking you guys so long?” I ask as I stick my head into O’s kitchen. All the guys are hanging around the breakfast bar and don’t seem to be in any rush whatsoever. Missy is lying outstretched on it, soaking in every last beam of sunlight she can find, demanding strokes like the real Dom of the house she is. When she and Gil moved in she had no trouble at all making the place her own. We’re all her most loyal servants now.

“Why, were you waiting for us?” Dean asks, giving me an all innocent look with his big blue eyes. The way his jeans hug his ass makes me think way less innocent things. I walk inside and swatt his butt while I’m trying to give him my best grumpy look.

“Yeah, I’m moving in today, remember?”

“Nooooooo, really?” O asks. “Did you guys know this? Is the elusive Morgan Pike moving in with us?”

I roll my eyes. “I can just stay with my parents if that’s what you guys would rather have.”

“Why are you waiting for us?” Jonah asks as he walks past me and gives me a kiss on my cheek.

“Because there’s a shitton of books in boxes, waiting to be lifted in here,” I answer in confusion.

“So?”

“They’re heavy.” I remember how heavy they were the last time around, and I don’t want to carry them. Especially not now that my parents are home and my dad is defending his lawn like it’s his baby. At this point I’m pretty sure I’d lose if he had to pick between me and the lawn.

“We know that, we’ve brought them into your house the last time.” Dean smirks. Why is he smirking?

“Seeing as we brought them into the house the last time, we thought you should do the heavy lifting this time,” Jonah says.

“Gil wasn’t there last time!” I yelp.

“I’m too pretty for manual labor,” he deadpans as he watches the back of his nails. O laughs out loud and starts making coffee. On the coffee machine I made them get, because their taste in coffee can’t be trusted.

“You owe me one,” I say as I squint my eyes and point my finger at Gil.

“Why?”

“I don’t know! You think of something! Help me move my boxes,” I demand as I grab him by the back of his shirt and start pulling him towards the door.

“It’s your own fault, bro,” Jonah says. “She wasn’t this bossy before she met you.”

With my free hand I push Jonah outside. “Help me move my boxes, it’s a good workout.”

“It’s my resting day.”

“No rest for the wicked. Besides, you look like you’re deflating, come puff up some by helping me lift my books.”

He snorts, but lets himself be maneuvered outside along with Gil. They start making their way to the white picket fence before they head to my parents house.

Yeah, I’m a grown ass woman and I’m going to live right next to my parents with my four boyfriends.

They looked a bit confused when I gifted them both their own set of noise canceling headphones when I picked them up from the airport and told them I was moving out again, only this time it’d be next door. I do not have them hear me having sex, thank you very much.

Dean and O stay inside, looking out of the window like those two grumpy old men from the Muppet Show. They have the audacity to be smiling.

“No sex for a month for people who won’t help!” I yell. I’m safe, I’ve got backups.

“Good lord, girl,” Miss Frieda, who’s walking her little dog on the sidewalk, yells back. “No sex for a month?”

“No worries, this’ll work,” I say with a knowing smile.

My dad walks out of the front door, giving me a dark glare. “I don’t wanna hear about it, young lady.”

“Use your noise canceling headphones,” Jonah says as he grabs one of my book boxes like it weighs nothing. My dad swats him on the back of the head.

It takes less than half a minute before O and Dean join the party and we’re taking my boxes from one house to the other.
