Page 3 of Betraying Katie

And he was gorgeous.

Katie wasn’t a naïve child. She knew the game she played was dangerous, and she wasn’t thinking of the video game. Having a relationship with a man halfway across the globe she’d never met in real life, trusting his words to be truth, wasn’t the smartest of decisions. Especially not for the daughter of a US diplomat. She had sense. She’d been raised with bodyguards around all the time, knowing the dangers of her role as an ambassador’s daughter well.

But she was grown, and that decreased danger exponentially. Sadly.

The bodyguards had left when her father had left his last post, and now he was just some sort of dignitary somewhere in the Dominican Republic. She rarely saw him; he was so busy.

But her mother was right here, living across town from her, insisting on weekly brunches and surprise pop-ins, like the good pearl-clutching wife she was.

And Katie did what she could to keep the family name clean, while running her organization.

Lobo Gris was her only weakness. And she loved it.

Her family would undoubtedly disapprove. Not because he was Hispanic as she’d spent a lot of time with her father, being set up with prominent businessmen from the Dominican Republic. Nor because he was poor, because he wasn’t. Living in Honduras and having access to the level of the game console he played on meant he had some money. Plus, his living quarters were pretty lavish for what most would consider a third world country.

No, they wouldn’t approve of the things she’d done with him over these private video chats. The things she wished she could do with him in real life. The things she fantasized about when she was alone at night.

When his video feed finally clicked on, she was rewarded with the sight of him in his chair, leaning back, black slacks on, legs spread wide. He wore a black button-down shirt, open to the waist, exposing ridges of abs and a chiseled chest. She had discovered this was his standard attire with her and she loved it.

As always, his face was cast in a shadow.

“Today?” She asked the same question every morning. Had for a month. She wanted to see his full face, instead of the shadows of his mouth and chin. He aimed the lamp on his desk onto his chest so she couldn’t see him fully, and it tantalized her.

“Maybe…” The shadow of his smile made her grin.

“It doesn’t seem fair though. You can see all of me. I just want to see your face. Once.” She pretended to pout. Katie liked the game.

He chuckled, the low vibration sounding through her earbuds. She leaned back, settling the phone on her nightstand.

“You show yourself, needing attention. I don’t need attention.” She could still see the gleam of his teeth, but not much else of his face.

“I don’t need attention. I just wanted you to see me.” Her profile pic on the game was a random cat off the internet she pretended was hers. She hadn’t shown herself to Lobo Gris until they’d started talking regularly.

“I do see you. You’re gorgeous. Espléndido.” His hand rubbed his chest as if it hurt, then traveled down his chest to rest on his stomach, above the bulge in his pants.

“So mysterious…” she groused, even though she loved it.

“No mystery,” he said in that low sexy voice. “I like you. I wish circumstances were different. If they were, I would do so many things to you and you would beg me for more.” He bit his lip and she mirrored his action, running her own hand down her neck, between her breasts.

“You ready to start your day?” He’d made it his mission to make her have an orgasm each morning after their daily resource gathering. If she met the goals he set, he would talk her through an orgasm, doing things she’d never imagined. At this point, he knew her body better than she did. And he’d never even touched her.

Katie nodded, anxious to see what he had planned today.
