“How can you be in love with her while you fuck my wife?” El Cuchillo asked the question almost conversationally.
“I never wanted your wife.”
“She not pretty enough for you?”
He saw the trap and almost didn’t care about it. He only wanted Katie to be safe.
“Please. Let her go. Do what you want with me; just let her go to the embassy. Leave her in the street. They’ll find her.”
“They’ll find her, the dignitary’s daughter, and she will lead them back to me.” He smirked. “I’ll be back.”
