I looked up at him and saw the smile on his face, the one that I had fallen for, shift before my very eyes.

In an instant, he went from handsome, friendly, to murderous.

Or had he been that all along?

“Amy…don’t worry. I’ll make sure this doesn’t hurt a bit,” he said.

I wanted to scream, wanted to fight, but I couldn’t do anything.

I stood there, frozen, knowing that it was over for me.

And then, suddenly, I was free.

One minute it felt like Keenan was going to squeeze the life of me, and the next he was gone.

I looked up, saw Davit, and he looked at me, smiled.

And I finally felt like I could take a breath.

I sat straight up in bed, my heart still racing.

“It was just a dream,” I whispered, trying to calm myself down.

And it had been.

But it had also been a warning.

A warning I would heed.
