“You’re wearing an £800 cardigan,” I say, scrambling after her. “Might be time to climb down off that high horse.”

“No thank you,” she tells me, nose in the air.

“I’m going to miss you when I move out.” I purse my mouth.

She nods. “Yes, I’m sure you will miss the turn down service I provide.”

I shake my head. “BJ does the same thing and with much less of an attitude.”

She rolls her eyes.

“I will miss you though.”

She gives me a tender smile and shakes her head.

“No, you won’t—” She shrugs. “I’m right around the corner and you’re finally, for the first time in about five years, exactly where you’re supposed to be.”
