Iwake to the feeling of warm sun rays being cast across my face, followed by the smell of earth and horses.

My eyes peal open and they’re met with the unfamiliar ceiling of an old barn. After a moment of confusion, I register the soft warmth pressed against my chest. I look down to see a mop of bright blonde hair. I gently brush the mess aside to see the face of an angel at total peace.

She’s the most beautiful thing I’ve ever laid eyes on, and even in deep sleep the satisfaction on her face is plain to see.

But then I notice a tan muscular arm draped over her waist. She’d used my chest as a pillow while Liam spooned her, acting as a blanket.

Even in the summer the nights can get pretty cold here, but between us I’m sure she slept safe and warm.

Something in my chest relaxes at the idea of her being so well tended to. She had her every need met last night, and we are a part of what ensured it.

That’s the problem though. I was just a part. The memories of last night take turns assaulting me and then turning me on, sometimes even against my will.

Seeing Liam ram his cock down her throat was infuriating. The carelessness as he shoved himself inside her ass. I remember the initial pain on her face as he did so, and my blood boils.

I can’t believe that my own lust made me share her with that fucking asshole.

When we took her from both front and behind at the same time, I could feel him inside her. We were practically rubbing each other off as our balls slapped against each other’s.

Why does that thought not revolt me more? Why did I even agree to any of it in the first place?

It was so she could choose who was better. That’s why.

I try to rack my brain for any memory of her announcing who she’d chosen. I try to recall and count each orgasm we’d given her as a makeshift score system. My memory was pretty good but between the two of us her orgasms bled into one another, each one feeding on the last. In all my years I don’t think I’ve ever seen a woman so satisfied.

Steadily her eyes flutter open, her baby blues hit me like a splash of cool water.

A decedent, blinding smile spreads across her face as she arches her back in a stretch that stirs Liam.

“Good morning, you,” she says to me.

“Mornin’,” I respond, trying with all my might to ignore the groans of the waking man behind her.

“Mornin’ to you too,” he says to her while his arm wraps around her waist and pulls her back into him.

The gesture would be enough to strike my ire, but the fact the half-asleep moron responded in a way that managed to both acknowledge and ignore me.

“So,” I say as if the other man isn’t here. “Who’d you choose?”

The question both sobers her and awakens Liam. I’m sure he was wanting the answer just as much as me.

Her eyes begin to dodge mine, but I lean into her, demanding her focus. She unconsciously starts wrapping her fingers against Liam’s forearm, searching for an answer. The seconds go by as if they were minutes.

“Um,” she drawls. “Option C?”

“The fuck are you talking about?” I ask, my patience running out.

She perks back up and says matter-of-factly.

“You’re option A, he’s B, and both or neither is C.”

“How do one of the options include more options?” The idiot asks.

Though, truth be told, I’m thinking the same thing.

“Because it was reeaally close,” she says while holding her hands a hair away from another. “So, I don’t know what to do with it just yet. Let’s, for now, file it under ‘to be determined.’”

“No, let’s not,” I say as I sit up.

Liam pushes himself up off the hay too. I can see that he’s just as annoyed by the outcome as I am.

I gather up my clothes and knock off the strands of hay clinging to both them and me.

Storming out of the barn, into the dewy morning I remember every single thing that fucker has done to me, along with the fact that Samantha just played the both of us.

And I have to say- I’m pissed.
