“Remember, Hazel, pockets of air can even shake cars, andtheydon’t crash. Turbulence rarely does anything to a plane that a pilot can’t handle, and we’re the best of the best.Especially together. There’s nothing to worry about.”

“We would never let anything happen to you.”

“Not on our flight.”

Maybe it’s their sparkling smiles or the perfect lines on their jaws but Andrew and Dylan explaining the turbulence helps me feel a lot better about the whole thing. I’m heading onto our current flight without a worry. I’ve seen how they navigate the worst of it…

Yeah, we’ll be fine.

All the procedures are done, and the plane is climbing, slowly, to the perfect altitude. My ears pop, but I hardly notice it anymore.

I release a happy sigh when I see the light go off on the fasten-seatbelts sign.

Everything is taken care of. It’s slow today, so I’m busying myself with upkeep chores.

I overhear a muffled laugh come from the cockpit and can’t help but smile. I love that they’re happy again. Hopefully, that stupid Bang Book was the last hiccup in our relationship.

These moments- when we’re all getting along and I can hear Dylan and Andrew laughing together, enjoying their jobs, enjoying their lives and company- these are the moments I really live for.

I’m fighting away thoughts about them, laying their strong, comforting hands on me and telling me the flight will go okay. Those thoughts might lead me down a very naughty road. I don’t dare think about how Andrew and Dylan’s shirts were unbuttoned lower than I’d ever seen, and how sexy it is to see their collar bones and light sprinkles of chest hair underneath their crisp pilot uniforms.

Another muffled laugh comes from the cockpit.

Well, since nothing’s happening I might as well go check on them.

“Do either of you need anything?”

I don’t mean to let my smile slip into a dirty smirk as I lean against the wall of the cockpit, but I do mean to stand up straighter than ever and push my chest out a little.

Andrew looks back at me around his headset. I can see his eyes traveling up and down my body.

“I can think of something, but I’m not sure it’s appropriate at work.”

Dylan looks back with a wide smile.

“Actually, I need something.”

Dylan’s index finger curls and releases until I approach him and bend over, giving Andrew an eyeful.

“What can I get you, Mr. Edwards?”

Dylan’s head turns, slowly. I’ve never noticed how beautiful he looks, surrounded by clouds. He brushes a piece of hair from my cheek and leans in. Just before he can press his lips to mine, I straighten up and clear my throat with the dirtiest smile I’ve ever had.

“Well, if there’s nothing I can get either of you, I’ll get back to work.”

I can see Andrew's mouth dangling open out of the corner of my eye when I leave. I wonder if their hearts are thumping like mine. Or if the heat is lingering around them the way it’s lingering around me.

I don’t know who I just teased more, myself or them. I’m walking back to the kitchenette and my imagination runs rampant. In my mind I can see them, ripping their shirts open and exposing their sexy abs in the cockpit before massaging their pants and slowly pulling down their zippers.

My phone buzzes.

It’s Andrew.

“Get your sweet ass back here.”

“And if I don’t?”
