“Here,” I say, handing the keys to Owen, “You can drive back.” I make the decision, deciding to enjoy the last half hour of my relaxation and hop in the back for the ride home. Secretly, this also allows me to reminisce in private about the entire day yesterday. And especially last night. While I relax in the back with both arms atop the bench, Owen starts the engine and places a hand on Kelly’s knee for the ride back.

That’s sweet of him.

He’s always been the romancer between the two of us. Giving me a fantastic course in male love-making makes me want it more. Recalling his enormous cock ram into me, I feel tingles go up my spine and I smile, remembering the sensations all around us in the room.

One forty-three. A number that will live on forever in my heart and mind.

I had no idea that a man could come again with anal sex. And that time, wound up being better than the one before. So much intensity coursing through my veins! Resting my head on the top of the seat, I run the images of us together over and over in my head.

I guess Kelly isn’t the only one that needs a day off here and there.

Sensing the relaxation circling the cab, I know everyone in attendance at the party in our room last night, seems that they’re in dire need of days like yesterday. With everything going on presently, this helps us let go and relish those moments that we can steal away.

Kelly has her hair up in a small ponytail and her feet are resting on the dashboard, sporting her bright pink nail polish. Owen is whistling a rendition of ‘Home on the Range,’ and I’m smiling about how perfect this is.

Wishing that all of our sex sessions could be like the one we had last night, I realize how much my thoughts and attitudes are different since Kelly’s first step from her car. I can look back to that moment and see then and still more than ever, that I’m completely smitten by her.

And now Owen.

I’ve not been able to see this come into play between me and him as we could only see our friendship, certainly not for me anyway. Until yesterday in the lake after Kelly confessed her love for us. I do love him for more than just a friend. We have so much to teach and learn from each other. I can’t imagine any other people better than the ones sitting in front of me.

“You alright back there?” I hear Kelly chirp, forcing me to make an appearance in the present, leaving my thoughts to sit on a shelf for later.

I sigh with a huge smile and respond, “How can anything be wrong right now?” Leaning up between the two of them, “I mean, seriously?”

Kelly giggles and admits, “Yeah, I get it.” I have a reel running through my head about last night. It shows how perfect all three of us are for each other.”

Owen has a hand on the steering wheel and one still on Kelly’s knee. “I know what you both are talking about. And I want more. Soon.” He smiles over to Kelly, squeezing her knee.

“What we want and need is more time like that,” I say. “Being open-minded about life and our feelings changes the whole dynamic of a relationship and our views of the world itself. I love you both so very much and I think that our love for each other is going to get stronger, deeper and more understanding over time.”

“Uh-huh,” Kelly says, looking back at me. “Just look at the evidence up to now. And it’s been what? A week, almost two? There’s way more to grow and learn.”

“I believe so,” Owen states as he turns into the drive of Hawk Hollow.

While the truck turns to go up the driveway, I look at the spot where our sign should be. Shaking my head I ask, “I mean, who in the world would want to steal a sign as big and heavy as ours?”

“Idiots,” Kelly and Owen say in unison. Laughing together, Owen pulls the truck into the back garage and turns it off.

Stepping from the truck, the dread hits my head and my heart. Feeling the weight of my feet dragging up the steps, I recall what we made an escape from. Looking around the ranch, I see the men busy at work, sensing that all is okay.

But it can’t be.

With everything that’s happened, my worry returns two-fold. I look at Owen and ask, “Do you feel it too?”

“What? The angst of something about to fall apart. Or worse, our horses missing?” he looks at me with his dark eyes, a brooding look covering his face. “Yes, I do feel it.”

“Kelly is at her place, getting a shower and coming back here. I’m going to do the same,” I tell Owen, looking down at my feet. “But I don’t think I can wash away the foreboding thoughts looming on the horizon of my mind.”

He places a hand on my shoulder, gripping it reassuringly. “Maybe not. But we do have each other to help us through it all. And that’s not nothing.”

I sigh loudly, looking back up at him. “Come what may.”

He nods his head and heads out the door to his place. “I’ll be back.”

I can’t help myself and I chuckle, “What? Are you suddenly the terminator?”

Owen turns robotically and answers, “Come with me if you want to live.”

We both chuckle, turning our separate ways and I turn my shower on. While waiting for the water to heat up, I’ve got the sense of a dark cloud looming over me. I call the head ranch hand and ask if everything is alright, checking if there’s something I need to address. I find out that all is okay and hang up the call, I’m happy about that.

But as I step into the heat of the shower, the dark cloud still sits over my head.
