“Obviously.”She nodded and gestured as the man turned to ogle a show girl who walked by with her tiny sequinned top, feathers jutting from her headpiece.“And now his hormones are raging out of control. He’s going to introduce himself to that girl.”

“They’ll fall in love,” I chimed in.

“And get married by Elvis in a twenty-four-hour chapel at the end of the Strip.”

“That’s what we should do.”The idea flew into my head and out of my mouth so quickly, I didn’t have time to censor my thoughts.Lexi stared at me and her mouth dropped open.“I mean, not necessarily by Elvis, but the—”

“Married?”

I nodded.The idea felt right.Really right.

“On the Strip?”

“Yes.”I jumped up as the brilliance of my idea sunk in.“Why not? We’ve been saying for years that we’re going to get married but something always comes up.Why wait? It’s been a perfect night—let’s do it.”

It was a perfectly logical thing to do.And I meant exactly what I said: everything had been perfect. From dinner to the show, and mostly to just spending time with Lexi and hearing her beautiful laugh, seeing her gorgeous smile.Okay, it had been almost perfect. The lingering task of telling Lexi I’d invested all of our money into the hotel was weighing over me, and I knew I should tell her.Hell, I should have told her about it right after I did it, or probably even before. But that wasn’t the point. The point was, I couldn’t remember the last time I’d seen her so free and happy.I couldn’t remember the last time we’d just...let loose and had fun.It had been way too long and if I told her about the hotel and the money, all of that would disappear. And that was the last thing I wanted.

What I really wanted was to keep that gorgeous smile on her face, and to do that, I couldn’t think of a better time to make her my wife.Of course, I expected her to object and list a million reasons why we should wait, or not do it all.Lexi was the logical one.The one who could list all the reasons we should absolutely not get married.Which was why I was so surprised when she jumped up next to me, kissed me hard on the lips and said, “Let’s do it.”

~Lexi~

The second I agreed to Leo’s outrageous plan, I clapped my hand over my mouth. What was I saying?Married? In Vegas? It was pretty much the exact opposite of the wedding I wanted.

Or was it?

We’d been talking about the idea of getting married for years and I couldn’t seem to commit to anything. Why was that?

I knew exactly what the problem was.A big wedding in a church with a giant overdone party wasn’t my style. We’d thought about going to Mexico and tying the knot on the beach, but that wasn’t my style either. So what was my style?

Our style.

Vegas.

It had always been Vegas.Lexi and Leo in Las Vegas.

It was perfect.

“Are you sure?”

I nodded and looked my love in the eyes.“Yes.”I’d never been more sure.“I need a dress.”

“You look perfect.”My hands flew to my hair and smoothed down my head.“Honestly, you are the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen. And you look absolutely amazing just the way you are.Come on.”

He tugged on my hand and we walked through the crowd.“Where are we going?”

“To a chapel, of course.”

Of course.

“You know where one is?”

“It’s Vegas. They’re everywhere.Let’s just stop at the first one we find and get married there.”

Caught up in the moment, I laughed.“Deal.”

Of course, that deal sounded great in theory. It wasn’t until we walked into the Little Chapel of Horrors that featured gothic theme weddings that we both decided maybe it didn’t have to be thefirstchapel that we got married in.In fact, the first three chapels we walked into weren’t right. Not for us anyway.Ironically, it was the Love Me Tender Chapel, complete with Elvis as the officiant, that we finally settled on.It wasn’t fancy. In fact, the building could best be described as cute and maybe even a little retro with the red velvet cushions that lined the pews.It was tucked away, just off the Strip.A small building, badly in need of a coat of paint. It was cheesy and cliché and everything Vegas.

“This one?”Leo looked at me.His eyes danced with laughter.
