PLAYLIST: ? MOON LIT DISTRICT - LVNDVN ?

Falynn,you sexy little minx.

I sip from my flute of champagne with my gaze set on her. She stands no more than fifteen feet away, her back to me, chatting with my business partner, Everett Johansson.

She knows what she’s doing. In the backless satin dress she wears, the sight of her bare skin is my undoing. Lust awakens inside of me. If it ever slept in the first place. These days, with Falynn by my side, it’s never burned hotter in my veins.

My eyes track the length of her naked skin, starting with the arc of her graceful neck and then dipping lower, tracing her delicate spine. The satiny fabric returns just as her body curves into her hips and round ass. My fingertips twitch with a yearning to do more than look—totouchher soft skin and supple curves right here and now.

How dare she fucking tease me this way?

Falynn’s a social butterfly. She knows how to work a room, charming men and women alike.

Everett Johansson must say something funny because Falynn laughs. Even with the buzz of other voices in the dining room, I can pick out the sound. Her laugh has always been a beautiful one—it comes alive all over her. Her honey-brown complexion glows. Her lips part and release an airy sound. Warmth lights up her eyes.

Jealousy roars to life. Tension screws my jaw shut. My gaze darkens into a hard glare.

As if sensing my stare, she looks up. Our eyes meet, and she smirks. The urge strikes me not just to touch her, but to grab her and crush my lips against hers. I don’t give a fuck if we’re in the middle of the business dinner celebrating the Vittoria Resort and Casino’s successful first quarter. I want Falynn, and I want her now.

We stand in a crowded room, but we’ve never been more alone. It doesn’t matter who’s around or what’s being said. The only thing that matters is Falynn and the heat simmering between us. If anyone else is around when that heat explodes into a fiery, passionate fuck fest, so be it. Stay out of the way or be prepared to get burned.

I drain the last of my champagne and shove it into the hands of the first waiter passing by. I maneuver through the crowd of chatting businessmen and their wives. Not once does my hard glare leave Falynn. She’s no longer listening to a word Johansson says. She watches me stalk toward her in the crowded room.

She knows I’m coming to collect. She’s been a very bad girl.

We slink off down a side hall. No one else is around except for the occasional server rushing toward the kitchens. My grip is tight on her hand as I pull her along. The sharp heels of her stilettos click against the marble floor. We slip through another doorway leading to the terrace.

The night’s wind brushes against us. Now that it’s November, the weather in Vegas has finally cooled down. The terrace, and the rest of the Spanish-style two-million-dollar mansion, belong to another associate of Johansson’s entertainment company. By extension, he’s my associate, too.

As business partners in the Vittoria Resort and Casino, what’s theirs has become mine. A fact Johansson didn’t want to accept until we put the squeeze on him. What other option does he have when he’s so deeply in debt to us? We saved him from being gunned down by Antonio Lovato and his guys—one of whom was Falynn’s ex-boyfriend, Enzo.

In recent weeks, he’s been on edge, claiming more attempts have been made on his life. It wouldn’t surprise me if Lovato Senior seeks retribution for what happened with his son. If he wants a war with the Sorrentino empire, it’s a challenge I welcome.

But business matters are the furthest thing from my mind as Falynn and I cross the empty terrace. It overlooks the metropolitan landscape, which is nothing more than a grid of glittering lights in the night. It’s lined by tall, neat hedges and colorful bursts of flowers. In the center stands a huge stone fountain with tiered levels of trickling water.

Falynn and I dip between the hedges. I cage her in, her back touching the wall. Eyes connected, shadows eating us up, I give her a stern look. The tension hasn’t relented in my jaw.

“What were you doing back there?” I ask in a low, dangerous tone.

The corners of her lipsalmostquirk upward for another smirk. “I was being friendly.”

Her words come out in a breathy whisper. The sound is so erotic, so light against the night’s wind, my dick jerks in my pants. She knows exactly what she’s doing to me.

I’ve never craved a woman like I crave Falynn. Everything about her drives me up the wall. Her gorgeous face. Her slender curves. Her little taunts and teases. That sexy, confident strut of hers. Her curly hair, currently twisted into a topknot with two loose corkscrews framing her face. The way she surrenders in the throes of passion and submits to pleasure. Submits to me.

My hand curves along her neck, and she tilts her head to the side, granting me access. I plant my first kiss and mutter against her soft skin.

“You were misbehaving tonight.”

She answers me with a hum in her throat. I kiss it away.

“What have I told you about laughing with other men?”

“You don’t like it.”

“And what were you doing tonight?”
