CHAPTERFIFTEEN

Kate

Brandi and I jump on the bed, arms locked together, as Damon and Chuck lie sprawled out on the ground.

“Let’s play a drinking game,” Brandi says between breaths. She halts jumping, jarring me to a stop from where she’s still latched to my arm.

“Whatever it is, we’renotgetting naked, Bran.” Chuck lolls his head in our direction to glare at his wife.

Her hand breaks free of my arm and lands on her hip. “You’re no fun, you know that?”

“I have an idea,” I start. Damon hikes a brow when I suggest, “How about Never Have I Ever?”

“Oh! And we have tequila.” Brandi claps excitedly.

The frost-covered bottle she conned the bartender out of downstairs sits innocently on the table. After spending the day in meetings, the guys demanded dinner followed by drinks at the bar. Which meant shots led to more shots, and by nine o’clock, we found ourselves giggling all the way up to our room.

“That game is juvenile,” Damon says dryly.

Chuck smacks his friend, grinning ear to ear. “We’re in.”

I bound off the bed toward the Dixie cups we snagged from the bar and pour us three shots each.

“If you’re able to say yes to the statement, you drink. First person to run out of shots loses.”

Chuck rubs his palms together. “Okay, I’ve got a good one.”

After distributing our drinks, I sit cross-legged with the rest of them in the middle of the floor.

“Never have I ever been skydiving,” he says, happily shooting back his tequila.

I cover a laugh with my hand. “Chuck, the purpose is to get other people out, not yourself.”

He rubs the back of his neck. “Yeah, I knew that. Just making sure you guys are paying attention.”

“Sure.” Brandi shakes her head as she plays with the rim of her cup. “I have a better idea. Let’s make the questions dirty.”

My head buzzes, remembering the way Damon spoke to me last night. I’ve done anything and everything to avoid being alone with him since. And after that orgasm, learning anything elsedirtyabout him may have me catapulting myself across the room.

“I’m down,” I say, feigning casual.

Damon scrubs a hand over his face with a groan.

“Never have I ever… been skinny dipping.” Brandi’s brows wiggle, waiting for me to take a drink, but it’s Damon and Chuck who move for their shots.

“I somehow find that hard to believe,” I say to her.

The teasing gleam in Damon’s eye warms my belly.

I donotstare at the length of his neck as he swallows his tequila.

Because that would be weird.

But… why does he have to make it look so sinful?

Chuck goes next, knocking Brandi down one shot with ‘sex on an airplane,’ to which we demand a story for, and then it’s Damon’s turn.

“Hmm,” he hums, renewing the buzz I’m missing from not taking a single shot since we’ve started. “Never have I ever regretted someone I’ve kissed.”
