I wince and turn to give Law an apologetic look, but he shakes his head and laughs good-naturedly.

“Okay, you are really going to have to stop drinking on the job,” Blink teases when he reaches me before pecking me on the lips.

“I haven’t been drinking.” I slap his rock-hard stomach, hurting my hand in the process. “But now that you mention it, a drink does seem like a good idea.”

“Come on, let’s head to your office.”

“Wait, I need to grab Vega.”

“I’ll get him,” Law offers, wandering away as Blink steers me with his hands on my shoulders across the gym floor and out the back before spinning me around to look into my eyes.

“Jesus, you’re wound as tight as a bow, Mal. What’s going on?”

“Honestly? I’m horny,” I blurt out, making Blink blink.

“Well, I can fix that for you.” He steps toward me, but I back up.

“Hold your horses there, Casanova. I need to talk to you and Vega first. Do you know where Graves went?”

“Just down the block to get coffee. He should be back any minute.”

“Okay, good. That’s good.”

“Why are you so agitated? This isn’t like you.”

“I’m worried I’m turning into some kind of cock hoarder. I mean, this can’t be healthy, can it?”

Vega and Law walk through the door just as I finish shouting.

“Did she say cock hoarder?” Vega asks Blink.

“I think so.”

“You guys think this is funny now, but that’s because there are only a few of us. But something is clearly off with my pheromones because I’m attracting dick left, right, and center now. What happens when I start to bring home a swarm of men?”

I can see them fighting not to laugh and losing the battle. Well, all except for Vega, who is just standing there smirking like the asshole he is.

I sit down in a huff and ignore them. I thump my head on my desk, hoping it will knock some sense into me.

“Hey, Duchess. What’s going on in that head of yours?”

I look up and find Vega crouched beside me, looking concerned. The laughter in the room has tapered off now as they both focus on me.

A tap sounds at the door before I can speak. Law opens it, and Graves steps through with a coffee in each hand.

He takes in the room and frowns before walking over and handing me a coffee.

“Where’s mine?” Blink asks.

“Sorry, I could only manage two.” He grins before turning to me.

“What’s wrong?”

“I freaked out.”

“Why?”

“I like Law.”
