“I have something to tell you,” he says.

“What’s that?” I mutter.

“The vineyard that belonged to your family was not lost.”

“But it was sold to some company ABD Vintage, Ales.”

“Angela and Bianca DeLuca. We placed the property in mom’s name because she has no criminal ties, and we don’t worry about it ever being taken from her. And in Bianca’s name because the property is hers. I’ll give you all the paperwork, and we can take it to the bank first thing Monday and have the correct paperwork drawn up to sell it to you and have the deed changed to your name. No money needs to exchange hands.”

“You are an incredible man, Alessandro DeLuca,” I whisper before breaking into tears.

He pulls me close and doesn’t say a word. I need this moment, and he seems happy to give it to me. Once the tears have subsided, we remain that way for a while.

“You were amazing last night,” Alessandro says, wiping the tears away.

Giggling, I flip over onto my back, pulling the sheet up over my breasts. After last night’s attack, we spent the night at his parents’ house until we were cleared to return here this afternoon.

Bianca has been by our side the entire time until Alessandro took her to her bedroom about an hour ago. She was inconsolable to think that something had happened to Bones and Sabrina. They were both shot, but they survived and were taken care of.

Bones was wearing a bulletproof vest, and he ensured his wife did the same before coming onto the property.

“Dad was a drug kingpin for most of his life. He didn’t give it up until I turned eighteen and went to college. Mom had his back all those years. I grew up with a keen understanding of the streets, going to war, and knowing what it meant for a woman to be a ride-or-die.”

“I guess I have your parents to thank for that then, huh?”

“I guess you do,” I say, growing sad.

“What’s wrong?” Alessandro always seems to be in tune with my feelings.

“I haven’t seen them in two years. All this time, they’ve believed that I’m dead.”

“Are they still alive?” he asks, lifting on his elbow to peer down at me.

“Yes.”

Leaning down, he kisses my lips and says, “Well, it looks like we need to contact them. Make arrangements for another reunion. You think they would like a vacation?”

“Here?” I ask, my eyes widening.

“Yes, here. This is your new home, Amante. It’s where you’re safe.”

Laughing, I say, “Considering what took place earlier today, I have a hard time believing that.”

“I can show you better than I can tell you,” Alessandro says, moving in position over me as he nudges my legs apart with his.

I feel his arousal thumping against my thigh. Alessandro’s hand scoots between my pillow and my head, lifting my head to bring me closer to him.

I suck on his velvety soft, plump lips before opening mine to him. He licks all around the inside of my mouth, and his hand shoves aside the sheet that covers my breast. With one hand, he pinches a nipple, and we exchange moans in each other’s mouths.

Spreading my legs further apart, I wrap them around his waist, pulling him closer. Writhing against one another’s bodies, we’re working up a heat that nothing will cool off.

Dissatisfied, Alessandro pulls back and grabs his hard dick, guiding it into my soft heat. He sinks in place, and I close my eyes, drifting further into the softness of my pillow.

“Oh, god, you’re so hard, Ales!” I breathe.

“And you’re so…fucking good. This is everything that I need,” he grunts against my lips.

He rises, taking the sheer pleasure of his hard length with him, and then sinks again, pressing his body's heavy, hard, muscle-defined length against me. I’m greedy for this man that I once considered my enemy.
