Felicity felt herself smiling into the darkness. A good kind of smile. But still, she felt compelled to check. “Only if you’re really sure. I mean, if you wake up in the cold light of day and think what a stupid thing you suggested last night, please feel free to back out. I won’t mind. I’m very flexible. I’ll take option B and go down the coast and drink myself silly on fine Australian wine.”

“I won’t change my mind.”

As he held out the bottle of champagne, his eyes were smoky in the dim light. A girl could seriously get lost in those eyes if she let herself.

She would not let herself.

“Let’s drink on it with the remains of this very fine French champagne,” he suggested.

“Deal.” She sent him her most dazzling smile as he filled her glass and touched his to hers.
