“Good. Wait, what? No.” I shake my head. “We need to act like professionals while we’re here.”

“I’m always professional.” He winks at me, stirring the butterflies in my stomach.

“Really? What do you call what happened in front of the camera, then?”

“Hey, that was all you.”

Blocking his path, I point a finger at him. “You provoked me.”

“How’s that?” he asks, his eyes crinkling up at the edges as he smiles, mocking me.

“Fair enough. It was all on me. But now that I know who you are, I’ll keep my guard up.”

“Don’t do that. I’d much rather you let me in,” he says grinning.

He makes me smile in spite of myself, and I figure, why the hell not? If we can keep it professional, would it really hurt to scratch that itch?

“I’d be lying if I said you don’t interest me, Coop. Tell you what,” I say, looking around the long hall that takes us to the gym floor to make sure no one is watching, before walking up to him and twirling a finger over his chest. “While you’re here, let’s enjoy ourselves. We can have a lot of fun. It will help us relieve some stress. That way when you go home, you’ll feel like you didn’t go away so empty handed.”

Dean laughs heartily, before grabbing my finger and taking it to his warm lips for a kiss. “I don’t do casual sex. And I don’t plan to go away empty handed, little kitty. In fact, when I get Key West, you’re going with me.”

I smirk and pull my finger away. “Dream on, Coop. I’ve told you what I want. Let me know if you change your mind.” I make to walk away, trying to leave before he says something else.

“I won’t,” he throws in.

Waving over my head as I turn, I say, “We’ll see.”

“I guess we will.”
