Chapter21

Raina made noises in her sleep. They weren’t scared noises or pleasurable noises. Just little coos as she would rearrange herself.

I ran my fingers through her hair and enjoyed the small sounds. She sounded like a small animal. Like she was nesting against me. The thought filled me with more joy than I ever thought possible.

She was here. In my home, in my bed, and holding me even in unconsciousness. My queen. My future.

And I’d been so close to losing her.

The trip back to the Land of Fae with her bleeding in my arms had been the worst moments of my existence.

I bent forward, taking a deep inhale and savoring her scent. From now on, my bed would always smell like her. She’d always be here, ready and waiting.

There were so many wicked things I was going to do with her. So many things to teach her.

And even some non-wicked things. I needed to arrange a tour. Everyone in the Unseelie kingdom needed to see their new queen. They all needed to bask in her glory the way I was.

Well, maybe notexactlythe way I was.

She let out a little moan and rubbed herself further into me before her eyes blinked open and she smiled up at me with a sleepy, sensual gaze. “You’re real.”

“We could be trapped in the same dream.”

“I’m also okay with that.”

She was tired and needed more sleep. If I were a good man, I’d let her, but I wasn’t a good man.

I caught her mouth in mine and gave a long, leisurely kiss. There was no house falling down around us. No fae bastard trying to take her from me.

Just the two of us, for as long as we wanted.

She gave my bottom lip a nip before pulling away. “I have so many questions I need to ask you.”

I cocked my head. “I’ll tell you anything.” And I would. There would be no secrets I’d keep from my queen.

“I mean... Am I trapped here? Can I ever go back home?”

Did she want to leave me?She’d almost died to keep me from drinking that poison. I thought that meant she would give up everything for me. “There are ways to travel between worlds, as evidenced by you being here. But it takes a lot of power, and I can’t leave my kingdom unguarded for long.”

“But I can still say goodbye to my friends? And maybe my parents, though I don’t know if they’ll realize I’m gone. Still, seems rude not to tell them. And I don’t want the police wasting resources looking for me.”

“We’ll figure something out. We’re going to need to open a more permanent gate between worlds. Now that we know human women are compatible, there will be a lot of interested parties. The generals and I will have to sort out a system to regulate it.” It would be far too easy for a fae to slip through the portal to claim their own female.

They would think the same way I did. That humans were there to serve our needs.

Changing millennia of superiority complex would not be easy. “What other questions do you have?”

“Ummm...” She raised her leg over mine until her thigh brushed against my erection. “I seem to have gotten distracted.”

I ran my hand down her naked back, over her ass, and gripped her thigh. “Shame. I thought you scholarly types were singularly focused.”

“What can I say. You’re a bad influence.”

In a quick motion, Raina moved to straddle me, her wet cunt over my stomach, teasing me by being so close and yet so far from my aching cock.

“Don’t play games with me,” I warned as my hands roamed over her curves, cupping her breasts. I tugged at her nipples, drinking in her gasp as she writhed and bucked on top of me.

But before I could finish playing with her, she put her hands on my wrists and moved them down. “No, King. It’s time I give you some worshiping.”
