“Mask Off”

“Behind every mask there is a face, and behind that a story.” – Marty Rubin

When Obsession showedup in that blue wig and those tight ass jeans, I almost lost my mind. The woman was absolutely gorgeous. She certainly pushed all of my buttons. She always had, so when she agreed to the date, I was over the moon. Yea, I know I said I didn’t want her like that, but I was lying. I wanted her. I was just afraid to let her get too close. Whenever I started having feelings for a woman, I usually deflected with humor. To keep from letting it show, I hid behind a prank. I knew it was a little immature, but it was my go-to when I was feeling a bit uncomfortable.

Just like I tend to hide behind my jokes and pranks, I knew Obsession hid behind her wigs and makeup. This blue number she wore tonight let me know she wanted to have fun. Whenever she partied, she always chose bright colored hair. When she was trying to be professional, she chose normal colors like black or brown. And when she was in the mood to fight, she always wore braids. She changed looks so often even I knew they were wigs that donned her head. I don’t think I have ever seen her natural hair. Not ever. It was something I was looking forward to revealing.

In the interim, I planned on feeding my girl. I had come to realize from knowing her over the years that she was happiest when her stomach was full, and she had a drink or two in her. I handed her a beer to go along with her Pad Thai. It was her favorite dish from this particular restaurant.

“Try this beer. It’s a local brew and pairs well with this dish.”

“Pairs well, huh? When did you become such a connoisseur of libations, Sir?”

“Oh, you got jokes? I know a thing or two about a thing or two.”

“Well then, learn me about this beer.”

Obsession was being silly, something I enjoyed. I smiled as she took a gulp of the Saison and then belched so loud the walls shook.

“What the hell, Obsession? Did you lose all your manners?”

Choosing to totally ignore me, she continued as if she hadn’t just imitated a seal barking.

“So, what made you choose a pale ale?”

“The fruity undertones bring out the flavor of the spices in the food. Now eat up and stop messing with me before I tan your hide.”

She chuckled at my comment and continued eating her meal. I took a seat across from her and ate as well. However, most of my time was spent observing how she enjoyed her food. The woman could eat. I found it quite charming. Most girls that I know pick at their food when men are around. It’s like they have it in their minds that eating is a cardinal sin when men are in the vicinity. Not Obsession though. She ate like she knew the food went straight to her luscious curves, and that was a good thing.

After dinner I decided to put Obsession to the test to see how serious she was about dating. Over the years I had observed her and found her quite intriguing. However, she was never the type to settle down. I watched and waited until I felt she matured to a point where she might just want something substantial in her life. Hell, I was in the same boat as she was, and I did not judge her at all.

Several years ago I had been on cloud nine only to have it turn to shit. I knew what it was like to guard your heart to keep from feeling like you wanted to die every day. I had recently decided it was time for me to get a little happiness in my life. My heart was telling me that the beauty sitting on my couch was the one to bring it to me. I just needed to make sure she was ready.

“So, now that I’ve fed you, how about we get this night moving along. You have two choices. We can watch Netflix™, or we can talk. Your choice, beautiful.”

“Thank you for deciding what my choices are. I think there is one you are forgetting.”

I raised my eyebrow with curiosity. When I turned to look at her, she had an impish smile on her pretty face that in turn made me grin. I found myself doing that a lot when she was around. Her statement was meant to bait me. Okay, I will play along for shits and giggles.

“Alright, darlin. You tell me what your third choice is. I think I can guess.”

“We can fuck like wild animals.”

The beer that I had just swallowed decided it was going down the wrong tube just at that moment. I coughed and gagged a bit before responding. Shit. Obsession was known for her untamed ways. It was part of her allure, but I was not ready for that statement to fly from her mouth. Once I gathered myself, I realized she was deflecting, like she always did.

Her mask was up, and she was turning into a caricature of her true self. The woman who used sex as a weapon to keep men at bay. I was not going to be that guy. I wanted her sexually. Of course I did. What man wouldn’t? But I wanted to be in her life as a partner more than just one night. I was determined she was not going to beat me at my own game. Plastering on my evil grin, I took a step back from her.

“It takes two to tango, sweetness, and I’m not in the dancing mood tonight. That leaves options one and two on the table.”

“I am always in the mood to dance, Baby. Option three it is.”

Before I could move, the vixen stood from her seat on the couch and was on me like white lightning. She planted a kiss on me that made my toes curl. My manhood stiffened in my jeans, and she started rubbing it through my pants. Shit! This woman was a wild one. Obsession pushed my shoulders, causing me to lose balance and fall into the chair behind me. I tried to stand, but she straddled my lap and started grinding on my dick like it was the last one on earth and it was holding the key to the universe.

I swear before God, if I didn’t want more with Obsession, I would have ripped those tight ass jeans off her plump ass and fucked her senseless. Instead I turned my head when she went to kiss me again. I gripped her hips as hard as I could and lifted her off me. She groaned in protest. Even slapped at my chest when I stood and placed her back on her feet. She was hopping mad, but I couldn’t let her get away with throwing sex at me as a distraction. If all I wanted was sex, I could get that from any of the Sweet Lips at the clubhouse. No, I wanted the real woman hidden under the façade of makeup and sexual innuendos. So I waited.

“What’d I say, sweetness? I told you I wasn’t in the mood to tango tonight.”

“It looks like that steel in your pants disagrees with you. He seems more than ready to take me for a spin.”
