Ziggy and Kenny gave us both a hug, and with a final wave, Kwan and I were walking out of the club.

“What’s the surprise, Kwan? Where are we going?”

“I thought we could stay over in ahotel tonight instead of going home with the guys. It’s been a while since we’ve been out, and I thought it’d finish the evening off with a bang.” His cheeky smile left me in no doubt about what he planned.

Ten minutes later, we arrived at a gorgeous five-star hotel, stepping into the luxurious reception area, all gold leaf and red velvet. We checked in and made our way up to the room, both of us amazed at the decor. We’d never spent any time in a place like this, and I was going to make the best of it.

The room itself was huge, a sofa at the bottom of the four-poster bed, a bottle of champagne in an ice bucket, and a dozen roses. I wasn’t quite sure how he’d managed it, but our bags were already in the room, stacked neatly by the wardrobe.

The bed itself had red velvet curtains and crisp white bedding.

“This is nice, Kwan,” I said, looking around appreciatively. “This must have cost a fortune.”

“Hey, anything for my guy.” He closed the door behind him and pulled me into his arms, placing a soft kiss to my lips.

“Things have been tough for us the past few months. I think we deserve this. Don’t you?”

He kissed me harder, our kisses becoming more fervent with each moment before we broke apart, our breaths coming in pants.

“I love you, Kwan,” I whispered against his mouth before diving in again.

“I love you too, Beau,” he murmured. And this right here was worth it, we were worth it, and I couldn’t be happier.
