Bristle Rey just moved to town.

She's trying to find a fresh start and leave behind a crappy home life.

She's landed in Valor, WY and has found a job. Now she just needs to find an apartment and she'll be all set.

Instead, she finds Wild.

Becket “Wild” Wilder got his nickname as a joke.

He’s never been reckless, never been crazy.

Until he lays eyes on Bristle Rey.

Then all bets are off.

Let’s get Wild.

ChapterOne

Wild

I roll my shoulders back, trying to ease the ache that I can feel in between my shoulder blades. I’ve just spent the last few hours working on a massive back tattoo and my whole body is tired and in need of a hot shower and a beer, not necessarily in that order.

I head for the door, waving goodbye to two of my MC brothers, Knight and Shotgun, both of which are still working on clients as I push out into the night. It’s late and I cut across the parking lot, heading for my bike.

It’s a 1968 Norton Commando that I fixed up myself after I got out of the Army Rangers a few years ago. I had been a little lost and in need of a project, something to occupy my mind and my hands.

After I fixed it up, I drove it across the country. I stopped whenever I wanted, wherever I wanted, and it was exactly what I needed to clear my head and move on from my time in the service.

I had stopped in Pittsburgh and met up with my old childhood buddy, Zeke. He owns a few tattoo shops out there and knew that I always loved to draw. I had spent a little over a year learning how to tattoo from him and his wife, Trixie, before they offered me a job at Eye Candy Ink.

I had almost taken it. I loved tattooing and the other tattoo artists at Eye Candy Ink, but it wasn’t the home that I was desperately searching for.

I didn’t find that until I rode through Valor, Wyoming and met the Men of Valor Motorcycle Club. They were a good group of guys, all ex-military, and it finally felt right. This was the family that I had been searching for.

I had joined the MC a few months after that and started working at Valor Ink right after.

I’ve been pretty content, but I know that something is still missing.

My woman.

I’ve been feeling this itch for a while, like maybe I need to leave my brothers and try to find her. The itch is bad tonight and maybe that’s what causes me to look up at the exact moment that a pretty little raven-haired goddess steps out from behind a truck.

She’s there one second before she disappears from my sight, but that one look is all that I need to have my world spinning on its axis.

She’s it. She’s what I’ve been searching for. My missing piece.
