Chapter Twenty

Savannah

Six Months Later

“Ryan?” I spoke gently, turning my naked body into his.

It had only been a few minutes since he gave me the best orgasm of the week—it was only Sunday though, so he had a lot of opportunities to change that—but I was ready to do it again.

Unfortunately...

The man was asleep.

I laughed lightly, adjusting my arms so I was laying comfortably on my side, and ran a finger up and down his abs.

We gave up condoms a few months ago, but the problem with that was after an intense orgasm, Ryan was liable to fall asleep. Whereas before, he still had to get up to dispose of the spent condom.

That was okay though.

I’d much rather feel him bare between my legs, feel him fill me with his seed—I was on the pill though, so no baby Savvys or Ryans. Not yet, anyway—than to go back to before.

These last six months had been amazing.

The stay-at-home order lasted longer than anyone truly expected, and even when it was lifted in phases, many people chose to stay at home for a while longer yet.

In that time, Ryan and I accomplished a lot.

First, with the support of Ryan, my dad, and my therapist, I finally cut ties with my mom. Too many random phone calls that would send me spiraling, I was proud to say that it was my idea to get a new number and go unlisted. I reset all of my social media profiles to private, too, which also worked in mine and Ryan’s favor because, even though the next season of The Rose was nearly complete, viewers were still flocking to my social media accounts for a glimpse of Ryan—who finally, fully, deactivated all of his unused accounts.

Second, we officially moved in together.

At the end of Ryan and Mitch’s lease, they decided it was best if they didn’t resign for another year. Besides, Ryan was still hunkering down with me, unofficially moved in, and Mitch had his new girlfriend—a funny story in itself. Maybe we’ll tell you someday.

My lease was due to expire in three months, but Ryan and I had already discussed doing the grown up, real couple thing, and started to look at starter homes near our parents’ houses.

If that didn’t say forever, I didn’t know what did.

Then finally, in the third major accomplishment of our young lives, the O’Gallagher siblings were opening a second location, this one in the Gaslamp Quarter, and asked us to be the managers.

Life had been a whirlwind with Ryan by my side.

From the day I moved from Ohio and met the boy on the bike, he’d been a constant presence in my life.

It took us some time to work through bumps, and honestly, I wouldn’t change a single moment of our journey.

...and it was only just beginning.
