“I knew you would be right behind me,” I whisper.

“You need a latte,” Tristan rolls his eyes.

“Yes, please,” I bat my eyes at him as we walk into the café.

“Hey guys, how was Christm…. Briar, what the fuck?” Klaus snaps.

“I’m all right. Lane did this,” I whisper.

“Is he dead?” Klaus deadpans and Tristan snorts.

“Not yet,” Tristan forewarns.

“I’ll help if you need extra hands, that guy is an asshole,” Klaus starts my latte.

“Has Noelle called?”

“Just to say they made it and not to burn the café down,” Klaus snickers.

“I’m sure you won’t. If you need help…”

“Maybe when all of the Lane bullshit is over. Noelle will need the help since she’s expanding,” Klaus says.

“I’d like that,” I take the latte he hands me and give him a thumbs up before heading back to the gym.

And it’s a madhouse, cheering and jeering going on. I guess we were gone so long the fight started.

“Go to the office,” Tristan pushes me in that direction, but I turn to see that it’s Remo and Kingston fighting. What in the world?

“Briar, go to the office,” Tristan orders me and I just go. He will come find me later.

Everyone is in the office but Holden.

“What is going on?”

“Remo is divorcing Embry,” Caleb says.

“What? They were just at the party together,” I protest. “She never said anything.”

“She doesn’t know. Remo came to Kingston first. Though Embry isn’t innocent,” Thorn chimes in.

“What?”

“From what we gathered from bits and pieces of the yelling, Embry is cheating on Remo,” Piper adds.

“Well, this won’t do today. Caleb has his first fight and Kingston is blowing it for him,” Dante snaps, joining us in the room, looking for Caleb. I guess he overheard everything.

I pick up a whistle I find at the front desk and I blow it, the shrill sound cutting through the room. Both men stop and stare at me, at all of us standing together. United front, right?

“Caleb, get changed. King, get your shit together,” Dante snarls at the men. I think he’s just as frustrated as all of us.

“Uncle-” King goes to speak, but it’s me that actually steps in.

“Not today. We will discuss this like civilized people afterwards, over dinner tonight, but today is Caleb’s big day and you’re ruining it for him. Caleb is getting a fight, and it’s now. Remo, go to the office and sit,” I order. Can’t believe I said that since I really hate the sport.

Dante jumps into action, pointing at a guy I’ve seen in the gym before, just don’t know his name, “You, get that cage ready, wipe it down or whatever.”

He keeps barking off orders, “You, go get some water and hydrate that asshole. Caleb, get in the cage. Ref, you ready?” The man nods.
