“Go on upstairs. I’ll be there in a minute,” I tell everyone as they tell Aiden good job.

“All me?”

“Yep. I didn’t know you still had it in you. I thought you broke my jaw,” he hugs me.

“Sorry, man.” Now, I feel bad.

“I was hoping to put up more of a fight, but you did win that on your own. I still want a rematch,” he says.

“You got it.”

“So, Vegas?”

“Vegas. Dante is trying to get it scheduled as soon as he can. I want this over with,” I say.

“I’ll be there to help however I can,” he replies.

“You want to come up?” I ask him.

“I have some things to take care of. I’ll see you in a couple of days,” he says before taking off.

Tristan is waiting in the hallway for me when I step off the elevator.

“He didn’t throw it?” he asks.

“No, he didn’t.”

“Wow, so yeah, you still got that touch,” Tristan grins.

“I guess I do. I think we should leave tomorrow, so I can get back into the gym, fix what needs to be fixed and I need to get a few training sessions in,” I say.

“Yeah, probably a good idea,” he agrees.

“What’s everyone doing?” I ask him as we ride the elevator up.

“I guess hanging out, wondering what you wanted to do,” he says.

“I guess we can just order in and watch some movies,” I say.

“Briar never lasts,” he chuckles.

“That’s true,” I say, stepping in.

We all lounge around in the living room of the suite and watch old movies and order Chinese. Before too long, I’m carrying Briar to bed and curling up next to her. I fall asleep before too long.

Briar

The last week has been a whirlwind of activity. I took care of gym repairs with Tristan while Kingston trained for Vegas. I’m excited to go. I’ve always wanted to visit the city that never sleeps but could never afford it. Thorn came first, and he will always come first. But now I’m here, standing on the sidewalk outside the MGM seeing the Strip all lit up. It’s beautiful. The rooms we have are spectacular and we came early so we can do some sightseeing before his fight.

I’m nervous about his fight against Lane. I want to believe that Kingston will win, but I wouldn’t put it past Lane to try something. Either way, Lane will be in cuffs by the end of this.

“Let’s get something to eat,” King wraps his arm around my shoulder as we walk across the walkway to New York.

There’s a steakhouse he wants to try so we’re all meeting over there. I waited with him while he checked us in.

“I’m hungry,” I inform him.

“Good. Hope you’ll still be hungry later,” he smirks.
