My face heats up as we set the food on the tables and let Austin do his thing.

“We’ll be at the house getting ready for lunch. We want to hear about this speed dating thing.” I hug Austin, telling him that everything will work out in the end.

“She thinks she’s something special.” I hear someone say behind me. I know it’s about me.

“Shh.” A male voice shushes her.

“Just saying, she comes in here and acts like she’s someone,” the girl goes on. “She’s a whore, sleeping with all those men.”

“Shut the fuck up, you stupid slut.” And all of a sudden, a chair goes flying. We all turn to see London.

And he looks like shit.

“London, you need to leave.” Silas blocks his way to the woman he just told to shut up.

“Security.” Sal motions for the men that act as such.

“London, leave,” Shane says, trying to pull him out of the tent.

“No, this is my gig,” he snarls. “And that girl is a bitch. She can’t talk about Snow that way.”

“Look, you aren’t supposed to be here,” Shane says, pressing a calming hand to London’s chest, “and you can’t be throwing chairs. “Go wherever and take a shower, get sober, and come talk to us.”

“Fuck off,” he yells at Shane.

So much for calm . . .

“Get off my property and don’t come back until you’re ready to talk,” Shane shouts back.

Flinging his arms, London storms off without a backward glance.

What the fuck was that?

“Come on, let’s put on some coffee and plan lunch. Does he have a date after this? Will someone text Sal and ask him that?”

“Got it,” Axel offers.

“I’ll put on the coffee,” I mutter.

“Yeah, he picks one person to have lunch with,” Axel says.

“All right, we need to do something for the tent and a lunch date. Ideas?” Shane asks.
