“What do you have tomorrow?” I ask him.

Chopping tomatoes and avocados, he answers, “I think I’m going with the strip volleyball. They have to start with five layers of clothes. Each time a team loses, they take off a layer.”

“Like five pants, five shirts, five socks, etc.?” Silas asks.

“Yep, down to their bikinis and speedos.” Austin chuckles. “And we’re going with winners get a date. Losers compete to stay.”

“I like that,” Axel says, inclining his head.

“Sal loved the ideas Snow gave me.” Austin winks at her.

“Happy to help. I think you could do an ice hockey competition. Afton could give a few pointers and let them play a game. Losers go home, winners get a date, but they have to choose who goes on the date. You don’t tell them that. They have to vote for an MVP, and that person gets time with you, and the others go home. It will get the others riled up and cause all that drama Sal loves.” Snow snickers.

“You would do that?” Austin asks.

“Would be my pleasure.” Afton smiles.

Austin grins. “I can see why Shane likes you.”

“What?”

“Everyone knows Shane. Doesn’t change the way we think about you or Snow or Afton, or even London.”

“Good to know,” I mumble.

“It’s weird, but it’s yours,” Axel agrees.

“He’s really just mad you didn’t include him.” Silas chuckles.

“I am not,” Axel denies. “Okay, maybe I am, but look at Snow. She’s beautiful.”

“Thank you.” Snow pecks his cheek.

“I think lunch is ready,” I announce.

“I guess I’ll go get my date over with.” Austin snickers as we walk out the backyard to deliver the food.

“We’ll be there watching,” I say as we drop lunch off inside the tent.

“Casey?” Austin calls the girl’s name.

“Yes?” She looks up in surprise.

“Ready for our date?”

“I am,” she says and her face falls when she notices the picnic basket, but she recovers quickly.

This will be fun.
