“Timber is okay with this?” Silas asks. He cares for Timber as a good friend. I think he’s just concerned.

“I am,” Timber says as she and Dayton enter the room.

“And what happens with London?” Memphis asks.

“I’m going to ask for a rush on this.” Ariel interjects, bringing up London’s hair sample. “I know someone at the lab. I hope to have it back in a couple days, and then we can figure out where to go from there.”

“You think he’s on drugs?” Ever asks and we all nod.

“All right. What now?” Memphis asks.

“Austin will meet the contestants tonight. Can you make up a mingle spread?” Sal asks, shifting his gaze to Shane.

“I’m sorry—do you know who I am?” Shane points dramatically to himself.

“Right, okay.” Sal grins. “Call your staff back and get started.”

“I’ll put my things upstairs and come help,” Austin offers.

“What do you want me to do?” Ever asks.

“Just sit and support,” Shane tells her.

“I can do that.” She graces him with a smile as she rubs her belly.

“What do you need me to grab?” Silas asks.

This is what family does—comes together to help each other.
