“You’ll be great,” Timber assures him.

He gives her a lopsided smile. “Thank you.”

“We’ll be right over there if you need anything,” I tell him, pointing to the porch where some of the others have already started to settle in on the swings or benches.

“Thanks.” He hugs us all before taking his place alongside Carlton.

“Wonder how everything will go now,” Snow ponders.

“We take it a day at a time. He’ll need us, and London will need us,” I say, as I pull her onto my lap.

“We only hope London is ready to listen when it comes time to do that,” Afton remarks.

“You really think he’s on drugs?” Memphis asks, his expression serious.

“If he is, I don’t think he knows he’s hooked,” I reluctantly comment.

“It would explain the anger and hatred,” Axel mutters.

“He’s definitely changed,” Silas agrees. “I don’t even recognize him.”

“I hope we’re wrong and he’s just stressed about something.”

We watch as the contestants talk to Austin and laugh and mingle.

We’re missing someone . . . and it sucks.
