Buildings rose higher than the eye could see, white and sparkling under the moonlight. Flying vessels traipsed along roads lit by red light, flying by quickly and efficiently as people traveled across the city. Holographic billboards shone every which way, lighting the city as though it was the middle of the day.

Placing my fingers around the thick wire fence on our balcony, I sighed, looking down the thirty floors all the way to the ground. River water snaked through the dirt below, a steady supply of fresh water for the citizens that lived here, a feat of alien engineering that kept it clear, filtered, and constantly flowing cleanly below. It was beautiful, and I spent many days sitting next to it, remembering how I’d survived so many of my days deep in the wilds.

The door slid open behind me.

Tavik cleared his throat.

I turned my head, smiling softly in his direction.

“It’s time,” he began.

“I know,” I said softly. “I’ll be inside in just a moment.”

Today, I’d gotten married, just like Kira, Alaina, Danika, and Mya did. We’d had a massive ceremony together, the event of the year. The entire city had attended and witnessed our unions and screamed with their support. Tonight though, all five of us were going to have the wedding night of our dreams. Alone in our own suites.

I took a deep breath.

I knew mine would begin with a stern lesson over each one of my men’s knees.

They knew I was a strong woman and they’d let me be who I’d needed to be in order to win this war. Regardless, in our home, their rule was law and they’d promised me a healthy reminder on my wedding night.

I should be nervous to be stripped naked and forced over four men’s knees to have my ass spanked like a naughty little girl, but I wasn’t. I was excited. Even now, looking out at the stars and the moon above, my thighs were shaking with arousal and I was already extremely wet. I wanted this. I needed this.

I was strong. I was defiant and in this new world, I was both a leader and a warrior, but when it came to my Vakarran captors, to the men I loved, it was a different story. I was theirs, and they were mine.

“Let’s go, Kaela,” Zane called out darkly. “Don’t make me get my belt.”

I shivered, biding my time just a few minutes longer.

“Kaela... I know what you’re doing,” Tavik warned. I giggled, and he offered his hand, well aware of the fact that I wanted Zane to get that thick piece of leather. I took Tavik’s fingers in mine and he led me inside, where Caleb, Valdus, and a determined-looking Zane were waiting.

“Well, my Vakarran husbands, are you ready to subdue your feisty human wife?” I teased. Their dark seductive gazes met mine, one by one and I shivered at the promise in them.

I couldn’t wait.

The End
