Navcouldfeelthe alcohol sweating out of his system as he stood in the warm sand just out of reach from the water lapping at the shore. The girls had gone straight into the water and Nav was intentionally diverting his gaze away from them, trying not to glimpse at Lexie because he wasn’t sure if he had the strength to look away in his current state. Despite already feeling drunk, Nav accepted the beer Adam was extending out to him. He was in paradise and was allowing himself the freedom to let go and enjoy his time.
“So what other surprises do you have for us?” Eagle asked as he turned to face Adam.
Adam took a long sip of his beer before responding. “Nothing really. The island is ours for the rest of the trip. We can do whatever we want.” He shrugged his shoulders and turned to face the water. Nav watched as the corners of his mouth pulled into a smirk. He followed his gaze out to the water. The girls had stepped back toward the shore, the water only covering their lower halves. He could sense Adam’s hesitation in wanting to jump into the water with his woman, but also wanting to give her space. Nav nodded toward Payson, who was standing beside Eagle.
“You able to enjoy any of this or should we find something to do away from the water?” Nav asked, looking pointedly toward his legs.
A hearty laugh escaped from Payson’s lips. “These babies are waterproof. I’ve been doing a lot of physical therapy in the water over the last year. Living on a lake I figured it was time to re-learn how to swim with these bad boys.” He gave a little shake of one of his prosthetics.
Kennedy was suddenly standing in front of Adam, who was damn-near salivating at the sight of her. She was a very attractive woman. She wasn’t Nav’s type in the least, but she meshed well with Adam and had fit perfectly into their little group of friends. The two of them whispered together and then walked away toward the little shed near the stairs. Nav turned his attention back to the blue water ahead.
The girls walked out of the water as if it was an episode of Baywatch; each stunning in their own way. His eyes stalled on Lexie’s body, watching the way her muscles rippled beneath her smooth skin. The slight bounce of her breasts following each step sent a shock straight to his groin. He wanted nothing more than to whisk her away to a quiet part of the island and explore every inch of what her suit kept covered.
