I fought it, knowing it was wrong. Knowing that I couldn’t possibly take advantage of a young girl not far out of her teens.

Tastes so good. Wet, wet, wet.

The voice in my head was like an erotic caress.

Dear gods, the taste of her blood lingered on my tongue, and I could sense the sweet, sweet river of it throbbing in her veins. And she was willing, so willing, the side of her neck bare and ready, her rounded figure so soft under my fingers.

She licked over my bottom lip, sliding her tongue against mine as my fingers dug into her waist. Her flavor seeped into my taste buds like a brand, triggering a deep, soul-wrenching craving in my body.

I couldn’t breathe, couldn’t think.

My fingers slid up to her coiled curls, sliding deep to hold her there as I took charge of the kiss, wrapping my lips around her tongue to suck on it, hearing her moan deep in her throat.

Yes, yes, yes. More. I want.

Gods, it had been so long. So long since I felt anything for another woman.

For years, I’d convinced myself that a part of me had died when Riane had left. She’d been the only woman I’d ever loved, ever touched, ever kissed so passionately in a barn that common sense had taken a back seat.

I’d been a teen then—it seemed normal to lose control around a woman I so deeply desired. But the memory of every kiss, every sigh, every moan paled in comparison to the feeling of this soft beauty in my arms.

I was a woman now, much too old to be kissing in barns and losing control of my fangs. But that was exactly what happened as nimble fingers slipped under the open neckline of my work shirt.

“You feel so good, Cedra Holloway.”

That voice, sounding drugged and vulnerable, snapped me out of my lusty haze. I pulled back abruptly, the feel of her lips on mine like a permanent imprint as I patted her roughly on the cheek.

“Ow! What the hell—”

She fell backwards a step, the shock on her face telling me that she’d snapped out of the call.

Wide, confused eyes blinked at me as she raised a hand to her hurting cheek.

“What—what just happened?”
